                                                       As an owner for a business that helps other small businesses, it's been my place in the past to help them find employees, good employees. And I first used ZipRecruiter as my go-to choice. I saw it advertised out on Facebook and thought it was a perfect platform to keep me organized. I downloaded it both on my phone, and I was able to sign in to my desktop version, and it made it very easy to upload the information that I needed to keep track, to filter out the potential people that I was going to be interviewing at that time in person. And it worked really well for me, and I was able to get that employee or get the people that I needed very quickly using ZipRecruiter.
                                                       For some of my clients, I also use the LinkedIn Jobs app, and by using that, what I found on there is, number one, the cost was a lot more than ZipRecruiter. That was number one. Number two, I'd say the benefit a little bit different than ZipRecruiter was the quality of the people that were targeted specifically for the job I was looking for. I managed to get, say, even more targeted applicants coming my way, so I could do that kind of first interview for my clients. So equally, they have a place in the market, one a little bit less expensive, and the other one, a little bit more expensive.
                                                       So LinkedIn Jobs, what I found by using that particular platform of the LinkedIn platform, which I love and adore LinkedIn. I love the intelligence over there. I love how people behave over there. So by using the LinkedIn Jobs feature, the wording, let's say, the technical skills or the big words that get used are very easily understood over on LinkedIn. Like I said before, the intelligence, to me, I find is much, much higher over on LinkedIn. I'm able to also take that link that gets created and post it in a bunch of different places where I know my connections on LinkedIn live.
                                                       So with that being said, if I'm interviewing for, say, a sales manager's position or a sales project manager's position, I can take that link, and because I'm well-respected on LinkedIn, I can go and send that link directly to someone's direct message. Or if I belong to a group on LinkedIn, I'm able to kind of place it in there, "Hey, I've been hired to help this particular company look for someone." So I find it much more user-friendly to get the actual application in front of people that are either hiring, or when I've been on LinkedIn and they've kind of dropped little subtle hints that they need a job, that I'm able to send that link directly to them. So that's what I do like about a LinkedIn, as well as there is a back office position that can help keep me organized as well. So that's why I love LinkedIn Jobs.
                                                       So ZipRecruiter for my business and helping my clients find good employees, it helped me out greatly because the program itself, when you set up that job, there is lots of different prompts, I would say, that come up before you hit to publish that job. So from skillset to availability, to area location, to how you want the person to connect up with you, it filters out people that really shouldn't be applying for that job.
                                                       I like the fact that after you're done hiring, there is a position or a function that you're able to download the information. So in case, in the future, you need to hire again, you might be able to tap into some of that talent that was gathered, the information or data that was gathered.
                                                       I like the fact that it runs on my phone very effectively, being on the road and you're checking in and you'll get notifications on the ZipRecruiter app to say, "Hey, you've got an... Somebody has applied for the job." Super easy to use, and as well as that it bounced to the desktop version as well, because there's some times, we're sitting on our computers and we need to do our work from there as well.
                                                       Love the fact, too, that when somebody applies for the job, you can hit an email right away. So I don't have to leave the app to go to my email system. I also like the fact that it keeps confidentiality of, say, me being hired from another company to do this for them, that my personal or my business information isn't connected to it. I'm acting wholly as that particular company that I've been hired to do.
                                                       And it looks very professional as well that using this system, it's showing it coming from ZipRecruiter. So it's much more professional than, say, coming from an email that sometimes can go to spam, is what I've noticed in the past. So that's what I love about ZipRecruiter.
                                                       Getting started with ZipRecruiter was really easy. I have a Samsung phone, so I was able to go to the Play Store, download the app, took no time at all to download the app. I was able to get all the information, sign up really quickly, being able to find the different locations within the app for me to start filling out the information of the perspective client I was looking for. I was able to post it really well, manage it really well. It was super simple to be able to use the app.
                                                       Now, the LinkedIn Jobs app was a little bit different. You had to have a profile on LinkedIn. And if you're one that hasn't been using the LinkedIn system or app or online and you just kind of set it up and use it and you don't have a lot of connections, you're not going to get very far with it, because LinkedIn is all about building those authentic connections.
                                                       So you want to make sure if you're going to use the LinkedIn Jobs app is you spend some time on LinkedIn and you are putting out good content, because what I'm going to find about the LinkedIn app is if I post on behalf of the company, there's been times when people will check me out to make sure I'm legit. So that's what I would say is the biggest difference. One, it's very operates independently, and LinkedIn, you need to really be connected well with kind of your business world and your business sphere over on LinkedIn. I would say that's the biggest differences of the two different apps.
                                                       So when you're looking for apps like these to help you in the hiring process, I would say ZipRecruiter would be your first choice to go. Simple, quick, easy to download, easy to keep yourself organized, and keeps everything in one great little place on the go in your phone.
                                                       Now, LinkedIn, when you're looking for using the LinkedIn app, I would say that's the time that you want to spend and build up what your business is all about, who you're all about, so that others can find you a lot easier. LinkedIn, I would say, is that long-term growth of your company using the Jobs app, whereas ZipRecruiter is that, quick, I need to find someone in order to satisfy almost a right-away need for your business.

                                                       The business problem that both of these products aim to solve is obviously in terms of finding qualified resources, and finding qualified resources within a reasonable period of time that meet majority of our requirements without having to traverse a huge pool of resumes.
                                                       LinkedIn Jobs is great for allowing me to see the total complete picture of a candidate that I'm considering for interviewing purposes. For example, I can see any reviews placed by past employers or colleagues about that particular candidate. I can see their education, I can see their interests. It gives me more of a dynamic, vibrant view of the candidate before I even consider interviewing them.
                                                       It is really good for finding a pool of candidates based upon their identified skills and then giving you a shorter list to work with. So ZipRecruiter tends to mind their database and find resources really, really quickly. And that's what's amazing about ZipRecruiter.
                                                       With both of them, it was very, very easy to get started. Obviously they're both web-based applications, login ID and password is all that's required. With LinkedIn Jobs, I found it to be a little bit easier because I was already on the platform, and I didn't need to learn the platform as readily as ZipRecruiter, because it was a brand new platform that we were taking a look at. However, for both of these, it is extremely easy to get started with them.
                                                       When we're looking for this kind of software, this kind of solution, the most important thing obviously is the ability to find the right candidate. Because even if it's free, if you cannot find the right candidate, then that free price doesn't matter at all. Right? So the most important thing for me in these two platforms is the ability to find the right candidate, within a reasonable period of time, that matches my required job requirements for that particular role.
