If I complete a form and later modify the contents of more than one question, the messages should be specific to each change rather than general for the entire page, since the reasons for each change might be different.”

In other systems, I have seen a more practical solution where each data point has a default status of “SDV not performed”, which can then be changed to “SDV performed” or “SDV not OK”. If “SDV performed” is selected and the site subsequently changes the entered data, the status automatically changes to “Data changed after SDV”.
