This software allowed for great advancement in our office productivity and ease of searching records.
Our only inconvenience is making a monthly journal entry to reconcile inventory amounts between the actual inventory, and the general ledger totals.

I much preferred the E2 shop we had originally. When we switched to the online version, it's a huge time waster and is always freezing/thinking. Not efficient at all.
I liked E2 much better before we switched to the online version. the estimation module is most helpful for me
the scheduling module and the inventory management are terrible

Overall I think the software is a great entry level ERP that can allow a business to quickly understand their costs and find avenues for improvement.
JobBOSS2's simple web-based approach makes the software highly accessible and easy to use. The setup is relatively straightforward and allows users to quickly get in tune with their business.
The web application can be finicky and will occasionally log you out without warning, and the inventory module is not very intuitive or conducive for precise inventory control.

The simplicity of the software is what I like most about the Shop.
That there isn't a link between the general ledger and inventory.

I like this software because it is easy to use and has a lot of room for growth. Very easy to track jobs and inventory materials for projects. I like that you can log parts and projects so if you do them again they are already in the system.
Time and Job tracking, inventory materials
Tax settings on quotes do not have a line item for calculating tax into projects. Sometimes the software will crash right in the middle of entering a job. Can be very slow at times. Takes to long to regenerate/ update or switch pages.

improved our inventory control and non-conformance control.
Priced well compared to competition, provides reports, upfront training provided. great for the shop floor guys to clock in and out of. While the training manuals were outdated, the software was easy enough to figure out on my own.
So many extra modules must be purchased to make it functional or editable. Customer service can be a little rough to get an answer or fix, but once you get to the the knowledgable person it will get resolved quickly.

Our company has had jobBOSS for many years and have found it to be effective in most of the aspects of our daily production. I recommend JobBOSS in conjunction with uniPoint for any business that needs a fairly easy to used MRP and controlled document system

Software does the job. beware of updates! Have used the software for years. Taught me how to maximize it. Have also had to teach others what I figured out.
Works well as a jobbing software and inventory control.

There are no benefits to this software that could not have been realized in other ways.
This definitely seemed like it would be an excellent ERP resource to track from quote, to order, to production, to shipping, to billing. It is NOT.
UI is not intuitive, search functions are confusing at best, many "modules" that you may or may not need, and poor training to discern which would be best for your company; implementation for businesses who already use an inventory tracking system is cumbersome; limited editability of databases once created; customer service is abysmal, high turnover of employees/contacts, shady billing practices, poor training opportunities, cloud services outsourced, support is drastically lacking for both the software and the cloud storage, capabilities misrepresented by sales team, unethical behaviour.

We have used E2 to make a large inventory and manage it better and efficiently.
All areas in the manufacturing process can all be done on one software.
When you tab over creating a new order and adding part number you can accidently tab to fast and it will us a sub menu for a different quantity.

Adaptability between job shop type production to repetitive manufacturing, real time labor tracking, finished inventory tracking.
All modules are contained within jobboss, meaning you cannot break modules out in separate windows to work in multiple modules at a time next to each other. the flipping back and forth causes errors from time to time. Raw material is not that easily maintained. It only shows you total amount of material in stock, and the work around ,per Jobboss support, to track individual pieces is too cumbersome to maintain with accuracy.

We ended up having to switch to Genius ERP to better fit our company's needs in COGS, job costing, and inventory.
It was very easy and smooth to use. Flowed easy among costing jobs and inventory useage.
It was very limited. There was no way of expanding searches, expanding customizations we wanted to make.

It did what we needed it to do. Monitor Inventory, Produce Quotes , Acknowledgements, Invoicing. Keep a History. It has been an improvement over using spreadsheets like we were doing.
