We have had a positive experience using this Software, which has saved us time and effort. Due of its capacity of generating multiple Bill of Materials simultaneously, we could improve worker productivity.
One of its greatest pros is its capability of integrating with i stalled QuickBooks and other Accounting software. Easy to produce work orders and task scheduling.
It can result quite expensive for small manufacturing companies.

Easy to use, Wiki page is amazing, customer support is responsive and easy to work with, and the user interface is intuitive for our less computer savvy users.
The manufacturing orders round up to the next integer causing issues with manufacturing too much. Other than that Fishbowl functions as it should for an ERP system.

It meets our basic needs for manufacturing and sales.
The flow from the creation of a sales order to the fulfillment is flawed. If a customer pre-pays, we have to artificially fulfill the order, export it to QuickBooks, charge the customer through QuickBooks, then manually notify the fulfillment department to release the purchase order to UPS.

I have been using and loving Fishbowl for the past 5 years. In the past 12 -18 months the technical support has plummeted. I believe the took on new ownership and since then they have made phone support useless. As I write this I have been on hold for over 45 minutes. They give you the option to leave your number but I have yet to receive a call back from them. Really sad to see what has happened to what was a great organization
Software does the basics for small retail and manufacturing operations
Report generation is rigid and difficult. We ended up extracting all the data we needed to an external tool

Great Support. Easy to learn. Versatile program. Interfaces well with QuickBooks.
Nothing but then I have not had as much experience on manufacturing software as I have in accounting/costing software so my opinion may be somewhat biased towards the accounting for parts and costs vs. the manufacturing order to factory functions.

It is a great software and has many features. It is user friendly and customer support is great. The trial period was very helpful and allowed us to practice on hand.
It is not specific to food manufacturing, so it made it a little difficult to adjust. There are other software systems in the market that are specific to food manufacturing and ability to add recipes and change them, which fishbowl did not have.

This software really delivers for the very specific needs of Manufacturing. Tracking lot codes, FIFO, etc.
I wish I would have talked to a rep for a demo walk-through. It takes time to get your information put in, which would be with any software though.

Lots of features, many different integrations, the inventory control and manufacturing suite are awesome
There's a lot of steps to learn and it takes a long time to set up your parts but once it's done it's smooth sailing.

We just implemented FB Manufacturing and it's managing our work orders inventory accurately. The customer service group at FB understand manufacturing and are always there to guide you along the way. Great product, great price, great customer service.

Integration with our manufacturing process was easy. Purchases, Receiving, Bill of materials and Work Orders fulfilled our needs.
Reports provided are too basic, no help documentation to create your own reports. If you need a detailed or custom reports you have to purchase them apart.

Fishbowl is a software that can be used by small to midsize companies. I have been using the software for a year now. It is minimizes the time and the cost of implementation. Also, fishbowl has different modules that can be used on the whole operation of the company.
Fishbowl is easy to use. It is built in a unique business needs. It is a warehouse and manufacturing software that is designed specially for it.
I doesn't have any side comment about fishbowl. Actually fishbowl ease the difficulties we have encountered on the production and manufacturing plans.

Ease of use and ability to control all aspects of our products, from manufacturing to packaging to shipping out.
It can be overwhelming with all the options when beginning use, but support is super helpful and there are tons of tools to help you learn.

Ease of use between modules is good and access to all parts manufacturing process in one software is a plus.
The amount of work it takes to edit items in inventory seems excessive. Would also be nice to delete items and not just deactivated.

This is a great inventory system. The upgrade process needs improvement and the POS needs work. Support is always excellent.
The inventory system is great and richly functional. It is good for manufacturing. The plugins are excellent. Support is great!
Upgrading the system is problematic and usually requires support to address problems. The checkout program is slow, cumbersome & not designed for transactional retail stores.

Relatively easy to implement and lots of integration options. We use it for manufacturing and it gets the job done.
The software integrates nicely with Quickbooks but you definitely need someone in your team that is very comfortable with Quickbooks and understand account mapping. Fishbowl uses default accounts which depending on how your Quickbooks is setup may not end up where you expected. So would highly recommend spending a little more up front to make sure the mapping is where you need it. Also ,if you have customs pluggins, make sure you check with Fishbowl Dev team before pushing updates to avoid surprises.

We very much enjoy the manufacturing module that has been added. This has added tremendous value to the Fishbowl Software
Fishbowl lacks upgrades to the system and customization. Also the custom reports needed per company are rather expensive. We should be able to create our own reports and save them.

not sure if FB can handle large companies with 3 party manufacturing - it doesn't seem to now.
modules for the different things you need to do, like SO and TO and parts - ease of adding part numbers.
it did not Drop Ship the way we needed it to. I have to review the sales each day and remove the items that the boss does not track. It does crash still on exports, but it is much better than before.

You can run both on macintosh and windows. they have an amazing layout with general cleanliness features.
I was unhappy with with search feature as it was not so sophisticated which is used throughout our manufacturing unit to determine unit values.

Great App, great customer service. Great overall experience. Would recommend to anyone in the business of manufacturing.
The inventory system is very functional. This app makes manufacturing so much easier. Keeping track of my inventory is simple now.
Updating the app is a bit of a pain, but the customer service team are a pleasure to deal with and can walk you right though it.
