The inability to have multiple templates for proposals and also not being able to edit or change the proposal template without contacting knowify's it team.

ie. if we have Electrical Rough in and Schedule Electrician A and we also have phase Electrical Top out it will not automatically pull the electrician into that phase meaning there is a lot of time input to make sure the schedules are correct. ]

The bill approval integration with QB is annoying. When the bill is input into knowify it only allows the option to sync with QB or not PRIOR to the approval or rejection.

It keeps all document numbers in order, helped with professionalism and allowed us to spend more time bidding jobs instead of on spreadsheets.

The resource board is a little complicated since our project have mutliple phases that the subcontractors are responsible for and when scheduled on one item they do not go over into other phases.

As a small GC with limited management staff, Knowify is comprehensive enough to cover most things but not too big that the system becomes cumbersome to manage.  

Design

Overall, Knowify is a solid tool for managing costs and profitability, but it works best once you’re familiar with the system.

The submittal process is not ideal, the flow is difficult to manage and it is lacking some functionality that would be nice to help manage the submittal process.

Project Management/Scheduling is adequate, but definitely has some room for improvement.   And for subcontracts, I don't like that a single subcontract cannot include multiple phases of a project.

This is annoying because bills that are not approved appear on the QB feed as though they were approved.

Makes tracking jobs, prospects and labor costs easy.

In my opinion the program provides excellent project management at a fraction of the cost.

What I have found most unfavorable is how when working with the Forman time reporting you have to be very careful of the date.  

Knowify has incredible potential, it could one day compete with the bigger giants of the industry such as PROCORE.

Being able to track jobs, their profitability, our productivity/efficiency , job costing, expense management is a game-changer.

There are a few things still not working as we need them to. But hopefully they will be rectified soon.

Overall getting started in Knowify was quite daunting, we have been working with Knowify now for two months and we are all learning something new each day.  

Training has been great, loving all the deep dive training that is available.  

Love that it syncs well with quick books online.

I would like to see Knowify have an area you can store documents ie:  Contracts, bonds etc that attached to each individual project .

They listen to their clients and strive to improve the program.  

Im not too fond of the billing aspect of it.

We are able to capture revenue from change orders more frequently, and for more completely than before Knowify.  

Knowify has always provided excellent customer service.  

Our company moved from a total accounting program that encompassed project management geared toward construction, to Knowify Project Management app with QuickBooks Online.    Once we paid for our subscription, the subscription names changed and although we are grandfathered in to what we purchased, any enhancement comes with a cost; the first request (tracking of overtime) was DOUBLE the subscription price.

One has to copy the url link for said invoice or expense, and paste it to a populate screen where it puts the expense into the project, but does not put it into the correct phase.  

They have now begun monthly focused training which I personally will not miss, and encourage my team to attend as part of their own development.

The more organized our customers and other subs are, the better the entire industry becomes!We can't sing the praises of Knowify without mentioning their customer service.
