Current RMS provides our company with a great asset management tool and the necessary systems to ensure that stock is managed well by our team and delivered properly to our clients.

My other frustration is the lack of custom reports, you can create custom fields and lists of values, however reporting on those is not possible, we had to hire an outside developer to implement a tool via the API in order to achieve the full functionality we needed for our business.

We started off using it as a inventory management tool and are slowly integrating it into our QuickBooks (even a plug in for that to synch) and vice versa for our rates.

It also locks you out every time you change server.

I’ve actually lost work because of it and can’t recommend this system for those who work off site as it simply doesn’t work.

They have been very slow to implement new major improvements to the system, especially given the extensive list of feature requests by the community.

I work on the run so have an iPad, phone and computer.  

The process for booking items out are treated the same as rental i.e. book out, check in, finalise check in.  

The inventory system is very helpful for our company, holds pricing, weights, replacement charges and sub hire stocks.

It’s designed by people who clearly know the industry and the pressures on the people using their software.

However I have not been able to recommend Current RMS recently as I feel like the development has come to a complete halt.

Because of the web based system I've found that barcode scanning can be slow as you have to wait for the page to load.
