Ongoing problems with their software, including a broken data feed from Uhaul.com, where customers pay online, which has been broken for more than 6 months.

The say they integrate with several 3rd parties but it is not true integration, manual processes must come into play in all APIs.

The help desk doesn't know how to answer 75% of questions.

With just completing setup recently their are alot of unanswered questions that we will need to contact webselfstorage regarding payment processing and conversion in general.

Our customers are no longer getting email notifications. Because of a conflict in email security.

The difference between webselfstorage and our previous property management software.

It does have some bugs, some times when i input a lot of different customer accounts it overwrites my work.

We inherited this system when we purchased our self storage properties, and haven't switched because we have so many customers on auto pay that we do not have their credit card info so that we can easily switch them over without making hundreds of phone calls.

Our electronic gate access  is not on there list that compatible with  the program ,

I am not a novice with managing electronic data or with spreadsheet data manipulation.  

IT is unable to help figure out why a new lease is generated every single time I take payment on a unit at one location but not the second.  

Sometimes we do not have resolution to glitches.  

Customer relationship therefore terminated (before it really ever got off the ground) by webselfstorage.

We have used other programs, and this by far offers the best coverage for all aspects of storage tasks, reports, and accountability.  

Emailing has been tricky with several not getting to the customer.

Any time I need help I know I can call and get an answer.

Having the property organized is critical.

We had one specific question, which he addressed and found the solution quickly.   As we progressed, he was able to see we were unclear on other tasks, and took the time to walk us through every step.  

He got back with me to help me resolve the issue

Tenants receiving all information timely.

You are not stuck to one single computer, or flash drive, to access your up-to-the-moment facility activity.  

No answer to phone calls, their web contact form is broken and errors out, so you're just out of luck.

I am into things that help things run smoother.  

As with any program, on rare occasions, you will find the need for a minor adjustments to personalize to your facility.  

There are ways to adjust internal actions, but never for received dates.  

Support is available through live chat, phone support, or email support.  

Outside of the down times, there's bugs and issues with the system.

My overall experience with WebSelfStorage is successful.  

I'm sure this is possible but just haven't talked with anyone about it.

Most the time you ignore it, and wait a little bit; today is the 1st of the month, and they've been down (unavailable!)

Does not send reminders and IT has been "working on it" for over a year now.  

WebSelfStorage is more than your typical unit management software.

There are still some kinks and bugs being worked out which can get frustrating for the operator, especially a new, inexperienced one, but the help desk almost always has a solution.

Storage allowed me to open my business within a week, we developed an online rental plugin for my website, and they did my payments integration almost on request.

It was also important to me that I had one software that handled everything under one roof - and integrated any outside services.

Some page layouts are not responsive to actual screen sizes.

Storage helped us build an integration to an access control system enabling us to run sites unmanned which was a high priority for us.

We have to hunt for those materials on 6Storage website.  

There are some features which I was advised that are on the way which just aren't quite live yet.  

Missing multiple languages for tenants, meaning you can't for instance write different templates for english and spanish speaking tenants.

V2 feature concerns raised 2 years have not been addressed.

Really love of the software makes our jobs simpler and ultimately allows us to time growing the business vs. spending time on the day to day.

It would be nice to be able to create more reminders like to remind me (not the customer) when a discount is going to end.

Payments are taken automatically if the customer has signed up to auto pay.

This could be better by not making you select a unit and give a reservation status.

All the basic functionalities for managing a self storage facilities are there.

Provides a useful overview of facilities and 6Storage service representatives are always on hand to assist.

This isn't then stored on their conversation thread in 6Storage.

We cant think of any improvements needed.

I would also like the ability to have people update information.

It would be better to change the invoice's information without asking for help to the team.

The 6Storage team have worked hand-in-hand with us to add and develop all of our requests.
