Pros

The quality of the recorded calls is amazing and it makes them very useful for training purposes. 3CX gives you a lot of freedom to organize the call list in a way that works for you.
Great integration with existing system, and helped us streamline the forwarding/holding/transferring process. VM to inbox was amazing.
Support from the manufacturer is simply outstanding as there knowledge base and support team go the extra mile to help you.

We stopped wasting money on LANDLINES and chose 3CX as out internet phone PBX.

Great Telephone System

Just had voice quality issue there and there, but it was on the settings and it was resolved.

Pros

During the first lock down when everyone was forced to work from work, we had 3CX Apps and making calls from home as if we are in the office. The App comes with the Instant Chat platform and Video Conference. It is cheaper to make phone calls from this system.

Cons

The Microsoft Teams integration hasn't really worked for me, thwy should fix the availability status sync - like when one is in a meeting.

Company internal communication via intranet made fast.

Pros

3CX virtual appliance is available. We can just download and test the same directly.

Cons

Native apps for 3cx aren't responsive yet, it sometimes hangs and voice is mostly jittery when using over wifi.

Hi Thank you for your feedback. Can you explain in more detail what you mean by not responsive? Maybe it's a port forwarding issue or required ports are closed. Remember that communications are not only done via SIP. We also have HTTPS channels that are used to download contacts, presence etc. It could also be related to the phones you are using. If on Android, you would need to care as to which manufacturer and Android OS. Also Apps on the phone might conflict with the app. Maybe you have an app which is draining the battery on your phone or causing some routine that is affecting the performance of your device. Causing our app to be not responsive. Let us know and I will gladly forward this to the development team.

Pros

Call Quality and Routing is Excellent . Good Software support and updates. Soft Clients are easy to use.

Cons

Adding a new phone and user. Setting up voice mail for users. SoftClient sometimes has trouble sync with Hard Phones.

No better VoIP system

We have managed to work like we have never left the office during lockdown.

Pros

You can make phone calls from anywhere in the worlds, even if you're outside the office / office network.

Cons

Sometimes the voice quality can be poor if you do not have stable network, and the older iPhones do not support the latest 3CX App.

It is a great tool to have as it provides the recording and data so it is good overall.

Pros

It can record your calls, transfer the call and you can search for the numbers available on your system as well.

Cons

It has issues that are resolvable, sometimes it doesn't work even if you have a good internet connection or the voice breaks a lot sometimes.

3CX Phone for Windows - EndUser review

This system is pretty reliable from my end user perspective. The voice mails come to my inbox quickly which is nice. I would recommend this to anyone with a business of the size where I work, we have around 80 employees.

Pros

3CX is easy to operate for me as I am an end user. I receive calls that are transferred to me and I rarely get any complaints that the call didn't make it to me or was dropped in the process. It is also easy to transfer calls to other people or call out by just typing the first couple of letters in the person's name. I can choose their extension or their cell phone if they are listed in our directory.

Cons

I have to restart the software from time to time because it will stop working. I also have some issues with the log of incoming and outgoing calls. I would like to be able to call someone right back if they just called and I don't have their phone number. Some calls are remembered and some are not, it seems random. I can see the number as it comes in but if I need to call that person back sometimes their number doesn't remain in the log, I do not know why.

Awesome tool for extension lines

Pros

We basically use this program to add extension lines to our dialer, that way we dont missed calls and it worked. You are able to put voice message, call waiting, call forward and other features that are minor importance. Very user friendly when placing calls, and also you can get reports and statistics for a call.

Cons

Configuration must be done by a pro, this cannot be configured by someone who doesn't know about VOIP systems. There was one time that the program crashed and setting were rebooted, so we had to wait until the next to day for the IT guy to help us configure it again.

Pros

3CX is the best software based IP Voice or IP phone system that we have worked with in the past 7 years! Actually we think it is the best VoIP system period! We love how flexible, the feature sets, and they add more all of the time! Best bang for anyone's buck! Extremely scale-able, reliable, and efficient.

Cons

lake of recent functionality with Grandstream. Works well with it but company has shunned the manufacture not sure why.

A Game changer

Pros

For many years we've neglected the VOIP sector due to Asterisk requiring on it's own a specialist. As a MSP and It Consulting Firm we rely on our staff to pick up our new offerings quickly. With 3CX unlike asterisk, it's quick simple to pick up, learn and support. Additionally I have to say I absolutely LOVE their SmartPhone App. It works very well even via 3G and LTE and did I mention it's FREE!

Cons

It some special instances it can be difficult to create some more advanced rules. For example, when forwarding a call to an external number making the Caller ID and number show a set name and number depending on which queue they are coming from. 3CX does have a way around this but it requires purchasing the 3CX Voice Application Designer module.

Very complete PBX and easy to configure

Awesome, easy to setup and use, you can use FreePBX for Free, but if you don't want to get your hands dirty or don't know much about linux servers this is a great option if you can afford it.

Pros

It was easy to setup, whatever was on the cloud or on premise, it allows to have up to 25 extensions for medium and small business is a great option, easy to setup with Zoho CRM but you have to use the Payed plan in order to set that up, if you want an stable no compromises and easy to use PBX this is your choice.

Cons

Kind of slow performing on old servers and not compatible yet with Debian Buster at the time of writing. (Sept 2019)

New to VoIP

Overall this is really a great product for the cost. Our IT company has been instrumental in setting this up and guiding us through the options available.

Pros

The software is very affordable compared to other products we looked into and provides an array of options - almost anything we'd need.

Cons

It doesn't integrate well between soft phone, desk phone, and app on the cell phone. Voice mail or missed calls have to be addressed individually, on each device. Also, if I refuse an incoming call on my cell phone app, I would expect that refusal to apply to the soft phone and desk phone as well, but all continue to ring.

We are so glad to hear that 3CX has provided you with all the features you needed for your business and helped you save at the same time! Voicemail notifications are synced between the devices. Missed call notifications are synced between 3CX apps which are directly connected to 3CX via HTTPS. IP Phone missed call lists can only be reset from the devices themselves. Declining a call will only decline the call for the device itself as each device will receive its own INVITE message to establish a call and declining will only decline that leg of the call. Hope this helps clarify any confusion around the synchronization.

Pros

its a Voice over IP PBX based on windows. very have any issues with dropping of failure runs great. flexible setup and easy to configure and manage 3CX will slash phone bills by up to 80 percent, and its features, including ease of deployment and management, complete employee mobility, presence, videoconferencing, collaboration, CRM integration, call center module, are fantastic options/tools available to use.

Great software that allows for above average PBX solutions that make communication efficient.

Cost efficiency on international and local calls

Pros

Its communication medium (the internet) makes it easy for people to communicate despite geographical obstacles and the best thing is it doesn't charge for call roaming costs all you need is access to the internet and the software. The features such as conferencing, webinars, call centers , chat and voice mail allows for individuals or companies to operate seamlessly despite different geographical locations. Support from the manufacturer is simply outstanding as there knowledge base and support team go the extra mile to help you.

Cons

To get the licensed vendor partnership take a while but its worth it in the end. The limitations to making multiple outbound calls through one gateway makes becomes frustrating when 2 or more people try it at the same time.

For years we had 4 dedicated ATT land lines coming into the office. Most of the employees had 3-4 line phone on their desks, and we would have a few wireless handsets available dispersed in the building. At the time a fully enabled PBX system was simply not justifiable financially. The 3CX software based PBX system changed all this. With a single IP based SIP, we are able to hold up to 16 simultaneous...

Pros

Price, Ease of set up and feature rich capabilities. The price can be FREE if you are a small office. Still, even for a larger organization the pricing is extremely affordable. It took less than 90 minutes from download to our complete office set up, including 15 extensions. All this with zero training, just following intuitive user interfaces.

Cons

The support is not great. While we can easily google and search through the 3cx portals, we did not feel there is adequate technical support readily available.
