VoIP & Network Quality Manager overview

What is VoIP & Network Quality Manager?

SolarWinds VoIP and Network Quality Manager (VNQM) is a VoIP and WAN monitoring software which allows users to identify and troubleshoot call quality issues in real time. The system lets users review quality of service data, including latency, jitter, packet loss, and mean opinion score (MOS).

With SolarWinds VNQM, users can monitor site-to-site WAN performance in real time through Cisco IP SLA technology to ensure that performance of WAN circuits meets required service levels. Synthetic traffic testing can be employed to test the network and users can set custom performance thresholds and alerts. SIP trunks can also be monitored, providing users with insight into SIP trunk up/down status, and audio or video call activity.

SolarWinds VNQM enables users to troubleshoot call quality issues with its VoIP analysis tools, which give insight into various call quality metrics, including latency, jitter, packet loss, and mean opinion score (MOS). Call path trace allows users to identify call problems across the entire call path, from call initiation through to destination, covering all network hops in between. The enterprise operations console (EOC) displays all performance data from multiple SolarWinds servers in a single centralized summary.
