Having most of service which Amazon have
It's having most of the service which Google has for the public, for example, translation, voice recognition, and cloud apps.
Most easy, flexible and fast processing of huge data.

Google Cloud Platform is easy to use and a great solution that completes all our cloud-related requirements. GCP's interface is superb and everyone can learn it easily by going through their control panel and documentation. Creating Linux or windows based virtual machines can be done in a few clicks and there are multiple ways for connecting to virtual instances also. All the basic server related tasks like managing IP's, Firewall etc can be done easily from the same panel.
Price of Google Compute Engine bit higher compared Amazon

I don't use it frequently, we store backups of data on the site and I access the data to measure error rates. In order to be efficient we created wikis with step by step guides - though there is a baseline level of command line knowledge needed.
It is a central location to store important data for all necessary users to access within our company.
It was a little technical to gain access to the S3 for our company, which I guess indicates good security.

I have a great experience because there was no down time in my experience with Google Cloud platform and that's what I was looking for.
Love the way it works, although it looks complicated but it's easier to use comparing to Amazon and Microsoft. The machine were always running and no downtime as I expected. Totally on my top 3 virtual machine platforms.
The interface could be more simpler for people who are not into servers and cloud platforms. The price is higher than Amazon, that's why I'd personally prefer Amazon.

Comparable to icloud, however, it is easier to use if you are a frequent Windows user.
The concept of the cloud took a while to understand and there are many competitors in the space like Amazon Web Services.

I think it is the best platform for using virtual machines. I tried Amazon a few times and Google Cloud is much easier to use.
I love the fact that I can easily create multiple virtual machines. I can customise each machine per my specific needs and I can also save data as backup. Moreover, I can delete a machine easily and fast.
I am not too sure about security at Login. I am using my Google account to login but I assume there are more safer ways to enter credentials.

The performance are excellent. Bills in minute-level increments. The internal data center to data center networking is awesome.
Google Cloud Platform has fewer software options than Amazon Web Services. Expert system administration knowledge needed to make the most of the service.

From our experience it's OK for quick projects, quicker than amazon aws. For long term software stability or precise capabilities we'd go to Azure anytime.
Very powerful, straightforward, it sports a lot of the tools you probably want
Less comprehensive and enterprise oriented than Azure, less legacy compatibility, unclear and swift platform changes.

I love the billing model which only charges you for what you use and in general is cheaper than other cloud providers. It has everything you would expect from a cloud offering (easy login, management of instances, api access, user management).
It isn't as feature robust with service integrations as the Amazon ecosystem is, if you need the specific services Amazon provides, mixing google cloud instances with their service offering is a challenge and sometimes not even possible. Also, in catering to the simpler use cases, doing more advanced management can require some deep help diving to find out how.

Love it
I find it much better and Amazon Web Services for the following reason: 1) It is cheaper 2) Has much better interface 3) Great mobile application 4) The logging in the serve feater from browser is very helpful and saves time
Still lags a lot of services with amazon has to offer but gets the job done if you are looking to build something not too complex.

Google platform has pioneered in many AI tools that they provide. BigQuery is also amazingly good. Their platform is more clear than Amazon and that helps a lot!
Their platform although more clear than Amazon still is bad. I have used multiple hosting platforms and unfortunately nothing beats Azure in the simplicity, the UI, the clarity of what is happening to the user.

The cleanest UI I've used from all the cloud providers I work with. It has a lot of pre-built instances with many integrations, making it easier to build images using just a few clicks.
Pricing is a bit high. There are cheaper alternatives on the market for the same computing power and capacity, like Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure.

We needed rapid deployment of virtual machines for our services. We created scripts to achieve just that. Its expensive but it does the job. We even host some websites on GCP services. Its really a worthy alternative to Amazon Web Services.
- The free $300 trial credit helped plenty in setting up our system and testing until our actual billing began. - The rapid deployment of virtual servers and duplication facility is a boon. - Google's billing system is transparent and easy. - Great for compute services and AI applications. - Worldwide servers are great for versatility.
- The network bandwidth charges seem a bit much, other competitors are lenient. - Port opening was a little complicated to achieve. - Lacks some features present in Amazon Web Services. - Customer service is weak.

My experience with Google Cloud Platform was not great unfortunately. Maybe I was not knowledge enough to work with, but just wasn't worth the time to learn how it works as it seemed very difficult compared to Amazon Lightsail
What I really liked the most about Google Cloud Platform is how affordable and powerful it is. That's what motivated me to try it.
What I liked the least about Google Cloud Platform was how difficult it is to setup a server compared to Amazon Lightsail. I use Lightsail and its really easy to work with compared to Google Cloud Platform. The Google Cloud Platform does not offer a similar user-friendly service.

Use of Python and Node.js for basic machine learning, lambda functions and event driven code on demand.
GCP is a powerful cloud platform offering services that allow you to architect web applications, SAAS, run machine learning processes, manage security assets and gain significant insights from data, all while leveraging your preferred code base. It isn't really possible to summarize all the features available as a whole, but it provides tremendous benefit to enterprise code and furthermore has extraordinary documentation and courses on Coursera to immerse yourself in the entire platform.
While offering substantial features that cover most all use cases for enterprise-scale code development, serverless projects, data science, etc. it lacks the massive scale and enormity of it's larger cousin, Amazon Web Services.

Though perhaps later to the game than Azure or Amazon that is not always a bad thing as Google has taken the best of both worlds and bundled that together in an extremely powerful toolset at an unbeatable price.

Take a bite out of the Amazon Web Services juggernaut and give Google Cloud a shot with their solutions to your data hosting needs. Their network of servers and support rival AWS, plus the cost isn't bad.
Google wants all your information - your e-mails, your websites, your search history. It makes one wonder just what exactly are they doing with all of this information and are they responsible enough to keep it from being compromised by the wrong hands.

Overall, s3 has been an inexpensive, secure solution to backing up my computer data to the cloud MY WAY: using Good Sync rather than Microsoft Cloud or Google Cloud.
Amazon S3 is a great value in my opinion. I use Good Sync to back up my files automatically to S3. I prefer this route to using Microsoft Cloud or Google Cloud, since I am in control of the whole process.
The interface is rather boring. Moreover, while the security is excellent, it is confusing too: are you a root user or regular user, what is your secret key, your password, etc. It's a bit much.

After multiple tests and after experiencing the horrible signup process we decided to look elsewhere for our cloud storage/assset management need.
This is a top solution to manage large and small amounts of assets if you are a big company or enterprise, but not that favorable to small of medium ones.
But still, it doesn’t change the fact that Amazon S3 is not that easy to get started as compared to Google Cloud Storage. The cumbersome and clunky interface really keeps away from the avast amount of resources and features. And there is no Free Tier. 1+ for Google Cloud Storage

I'm starting to find Google Cloud Engine becoming more competitive on price which I like. As a consumer competition is great.
Amazon S3 is great, you can host servers, containers, and services all with granular control. The reliability of the services is also top notice, and speed to the hosts are very fast. Amazon is the company to best when it comes to hosting. Microsoft and Google are the other major players in this spaces. I've tried Google cloud engine which will start to meet Amazon level of service. Again this only shows Amazon is the leader, that everyone will try to match or beat.
Pricing on some some locations I find to be really high. I don't know the rent or electricity rate, I imagine all of that goes into the pricing.

The first cloud service built and still one of the mainstays of the cloud computing industry.
User experience is well designed, you can tell the designers really thought through the interaction process. Minimal clicks to setup an S3 bucket and make it available for use. Buckets are automatically highly available, you don't need to worry about configure this. While typically used for artifacts, you can also use it for static web hosting. File uploads and downloads are extremely fast. When marking buckets public for external use, they provide LOTS of warnings to explain the risks. The awscli enables automation of s3 activities. Pricing model is based on the right metrics and is fair.
While S3 pricing is reasonable, you may end up running up a large S3 bill if you don't pay close attention to it. AWS doesn't provide many desktop clients, instead relying on partners to build them. This results in customers shelling out even more money.

Amazon S3 solved our storage needs. Prior, the company was storing everything on their own servers. If the site went down, so did our files. Amazon's reliability is why we use the S3.
Amazon S3 is like Dropbox/Google Drive, but on Amazon's cloud server. That means, it's fast with a 99.9% uptime. All of our public-facing course material is secured on Amazon S3, and I don't have to worry about the server being down.
There's a learning curve. It's kind of ugly - I'm not expecting someone to use it right out of the box. There's lots of options to choose from, and you could accidentally expose all of your sensitive data if you didn't set it up correctly.

I work on websites with many photographs and useing Amazon S3 has greatly imporoved my page loading speeds. Its has save me money as I do not have to pay extra for Web Service Space. Also Amazon S3 on its own is like a CDN or Content Delivery Network. On one of my projects, I am storing PDF files on S3.
Great Value for money when it comes to Cloud Storage Great for Photographers to help boost there page speed loading and Google Ranking Reduces costs on te Web Host Server as Pictures, PDF Files and Video are not on the main server
Difficult to setup and get all your credentials Can be cumbersome if you have a lot of photographs or files. You may need to invest in a plugin to automatically upload the content to S3 automatically.
