What is PrintFactory?
The PrintFactory platform is a SaaS solution for large-format printing professionals. The software uses smart workflows to automate recurring tasks. The platform centrally manages all the connected printers. A clear dashboard shows in real-time the status of all printers: job status, ink consumption, media consumption, etc.
The platform uses an XML-driven raster image processor (RIP) compatible with over 2,000 types of printers and cutters. All the connected printers work with the same RIP, meaning different printers will output the same results. The color engine uses device-link profiles to save ink. The centralized RIP is accessible from any location, making it convenient to use for working from home.
The RIP on the platform uses XML instructions to process the PDFs. Built-in editing tools direct corrections into a list of XML instructions, ensuring source files are not copied or modified. The process prevents files from being enlarged and makes last-minute adjustments not possible. The platform supports remote and local files. PrintFactory works on Mac, Windows, and Linux networks.
