What is Robo 3T?
Robo 3T (formerly Robomongo) is an open-source MongoDB GUI tool. It is distributed as a native application and can be downloaded to Windows, Mac, and Linux devices. Robo 3T allows users to build queries using drag and drop functionality, generate driver code in seven languages, break down aggregation queries, plus more.
The tool does not emulate the MongoDB shell. Instead, it embeds the latest MongoDB engine and environment. Robo 3T executes internal JavaScript VM and provides real code auto-completion. The tool is fully asynchronous and does not block main application threads. Other capabilities include CSV, JSON, SQL, and BSON import/export, MongoDB task scheduling, data masking for protection, data schema exploration, and more.
