Creating an online store through Weebly is fast and sites looks professional.

2018-09-24

Pros

The themes! They look professional and are fully responsive. All the themes are customizable with an easy drag and drop feature. You can quickly modify a theme so it's original to your brand. Weebly also has great backend tools for managing shipping(with real-time shipping rates) and inventory. The coupon builder and gift cards is a fun way to increase sales.

Cons

Migrating your website to a different platform (Squarespace, Wordpress etc...) won't be a simple process.

There are better options out there

2019-04-07

I've built sites in Wix, Weebly, SquareSpace, WordPress, and by hand through custom design/coding.

Pros

- Better mobile site editing than Wix - Lots of app integrations - Simple for new users

Cons

. - Not as good as Wix, definitely not as good as SquareSpace or Wordpress - If you want good design without being a designer, choose SquareSpace

A good introductory website service

2018-12-14

Definitely easy for anyone to use!

Pros

From my own experience and my clients' experience with Weebly, I recommend it as a user-friendly, beginner website creation tool. It is a good way for people to get started on their own.

Cons

It doesn't have as much functionality as Wix and SquareSpace, but it gets the job done.

Easiest website builder if not the most advanced

2017-09-14

Pros

There's no platform for making a site that is easier to get started with than Weebly. If you fear technology and need an easy-to-make site that look reasonably good without great expense, this is the best bet. Or if you just need to get something up as fast as possible, this is a good option too, since there is little to configure.

Cons

It is not the most attractive and sophisticated platform - for that, get custom development on Wordpress or use Squarespace. Weebly is not unattractive, but it is just more aesthetically limited and not quite as modern as you can get with Squarespace or a custom site.

Weebly Review

2019-04-01

I used Weebly in my first two years of website development and it was handy. But I then moved on as it did not have enough features I needed for my site dynamism.

Pros

It is an easy to use website builder It has got several templates to get inspiration from while starting to build your website.

Cons

It has limited features compared to competitors like Wix and Squarespace Its plans are expensive given their limited features

Easy Web Making Software

2018-07-23

Pros

Weebly offers every single fundamental device that you can use for building a site or store starting with no outside help. Weebly's accumulation of layouts presently incorporates an incredible decision of on-slant versatile responsive plans.

Cons

On the off chance that you utilize weebly subsequent to utilizing Wix or SquareSpace you will discover it's simplified customization extremely constrained.

Good for websites

2018-09-30

Pros

If you're looking to launch a simple website with custom CSS it's a good tool. Not the best but it does the job.

Cons

If you're looking for something I would go with Squarespace and if you're looking for something more complicated I would either use Wordpress or code the website.

Okay Website Builder, There Are Better Options

2019-03-21

However, I believe using Squarespace, Wordpress and other website builders is better.

Pros

Weebly is a basic website builder without too many extra features and for some of my clients, that's all they need. If you have very little web development experience, Weebly could be a good option for you. They have themes and pre-built templates to utilize so it does make creating a new website pretty easy. Plus, it integrates with Square now which is a plus to many of my clients who are just starting up their business and need a payment processor.

Cons

The photo storage! My goodness, you upload a photo and you have to upload it again from your desktop instead of having it stored in a folder on your site. It's extremely annoying. Then of course, you can't customize your site as much as you can with other builders and you can't dig into many of the tools because Weebly is meant for novices (or so it seems). Plus we do get occasional glitches with some of the tools from time to time.

Good website maker for inexperienced users

2019-02-08

Pros

Weebly is incredibly easy to use. I use it primarily for clients who are extremely lacking in technical skills and who need only the most basic websites. For that usecase, it's a good choice.

Cons

For anything but the most simple website (pretty much images and text only) I prefer Wordpress, or even Squarespace. Weebly is just too limited in terms of features.

I Want To Try Weebly Once My Wix Subscription Is Over

2019-01-11

From the trial that I messed around with, I enjoyed it. I want to give this a bigger shot when my Wix subscription ends and I can have greater access to certain perks with the plans Weebly offers.

Pros

As opposed to competitors like SquareSpace and Wix, they facilitate hosting an online shop with an app that mamny people are already very familiar with and trust.

Cons

Some templates have really weird code built into it that it can make custom website building difficult. While dragging around text and images is a great perk, I've heard that some templates end up having jumbled code that may be tricky to resolve later if you don't type notes into the code. On top of that, the website may run slower if the code isn't so efficient, affecting the traffic coming into the site.

Easy To Use Drag-and-Drop Website Builder

2019-02-26

Pros

Weebly is very intuitive, allowing me to drag and drop elements onto my web page. No hardcore coding is required, and the templates that they offer are very stylish and professional looking. Also, the websites created in Weebly scale very well to mobile devices, taking the work out of having to build platform-specific versions of my site.

Cons

Though the pricing model is simple to understand, it pales in comparison to some of the features on other sites (like squarespace). Although you can use weebly to host your domain, I've found that their domain name options are pretty limited, and trying to use another host is very complicated.

Not enough options for the money

2018-08-28

I found Weebly to less user-friendly than other website building platforms, though easier than WordPress. However, considering its lack of interesting website templates, its reduced functionality for its free plan, and that the platform is not SEO friendly, it was an easy decision to abandon Weebly.

Pros

Weebly is relatively easy to use with its drag and drop editor. It's a low cost option for those who want to build a website.

Cons

The templates are not interesting and they lack the options that you have to customize the templates that you find in Wix and Squarespace. Weebly also is not great for SEO purposes, which will hurt the marketing of your business.

quick and easy to design websites, I'm as imagine it

2018-06-05

I was able to become a web developer in seconds, yeah !!!

Pros

I like the default templates, this helps me save time in the creation of web pages. It is not necessary to have great HTML skill This URL and domain can also be changed later if you are interested in your own ".com"

Cons

I would like to see new sources or more editing functions in texts, it is not as optimized or developed as Squarespace, If you use the Weebly photo editor, destroy the resolution of your images, I do not like it if you have started to design a site and want change to another template, it is not easy.

Ho-hum site builder doesn't distinguish itself positively from the competition

2019-04-08

Pros

If I were to make a recommendation to anyone looking for an easy-to-use site builder I'd recommend Squarespace first and Wix second, for non-developers.

Cons

The user interface is not optimal. Features are stacked in a single column on the left side and requires lots of scrolling to find anything. The available themes are lackluster and it's quite easy to make something ugly. Many advanced features open up overlays. Nothing's organized thoughtfully really. Adding PayPal as a payment option requires an upgrade. Stripe is supported on the free plan but the fee is steep. There's a prominent bar at the bottom of the editor that can't be dismissed until you upgrade. It encourages you to edit the footer. This tactic isn't a very thoughtful one. Pass.

Software that can help with easy website making

2018-05-13

Pros

Weebly has been ranked as the easiest website builder recommended by most of the web consultants. Weebly offers all basic tools that you can use for building a website or store from scratch. Weebly’s collection of templates now includes a great choice of on-trend mobile-responsive designs. Unlike Wix and Shopify Plus it lets you download the full code to your website, so you can customize it or even download it. Weebly also offers over 40 pre-designed templates to help you get started. The layouts to every type of page can be found. Weebly also enables the user to add and install more apps for your use. Weebly also lets you create a fully customizable club to which you have full control.

Cons

If you use weebly after using Wix or SquareSpace you will find it’s drag and drop customization very limited.

Stunning websites with a moderate learning curve

Squarespace really impressed me with their templates and tools for building a smooth website that looks high-end and very professional. If you are not a premium brand seeking a website that appeals to this type of audience, there are better options for you. If you want premium, then Squarespace is a great option.

Best looking site builder out there

2018-09-26

I upgraded to Squarespace after a year on Weebly. Loved the platform and the website.

Pros

Squarespace is the easiest way to create a visually appealing website for freelancers, and small and medium sized businesses. Beautiful templates and visual effects when published. Excellent customer service too.

Good software but somewhat limiting

2018-04-10

Pros

We've look at, implemented, and used several of the "build your own website" platforms. I liked Squarespace as an e-commerce platform, though it lacks the ease of use of a Shopify. It is easy to edit pages and the cost is very reasonable.

Cons

Squarespace Review

2018-10-29

Squarespace doesn’t have a free plan - although it appears to advertise as such (which can be a bit misleading). Also, it isnt the cheapest website builder out there, meaning cash strapped businesses will opt for cheaper options despite these being less professional looking.

Pros

Squarespace provide all the necessary tools "newbies" need to build a website which looks slick and professional . Esy to use and clear instructions on website set up. It also offers a free trial period (14 days - not totally free) and with good marketing spend, it gets quite a lot of TV advertising airplay

Cons

I appreciate it may charge for hosting the site, but there are now many other companies and means and ways of building website (wix, godaddy, weebly etc) which offers the same things and attimes at much cheaper rates/prices.

Sleek, functional, easy-to-use blog platform--my favorite yet!

2017-02-01

I have dabbled in Weebly, Wordpress, and Squarespace, and I finally settled on Squarespace because I loved the sleek, functional, easy-to-use sophistication of this host.

Pros

I love the look of Squarespace, and the easy-to-use features. I don't have to go clicking around forever to find what I need to update, review, or track anything about my blog. Squarespace is sleek and professional and I am confident I am receiving a great product for a great price.

Great Site Design But Lacking Features

2018-09-19

I think overall, for those with more of a need to create engaging and visually appealing sites who do not mind paying for it, this is a good program to consider. It's not as easy as other website builders to use but is a reliable tool.

Pros

Having used and played with many website programs (wordpress, weebly, wix, Google Sites) etc, squareSpace definitely makes attractive websites or blogs.

Cons

The plans are a little pricey, and their free version is only a trial. This is tough for the education market, especially when working with students. There is no multi-language support with the interface something to consider. The templates are nice, but some seem pretty flat. Not sure if this changes when on a premium or paid plan. One big hurdle is not having a way to revert to previous changes or restore older versions of your site. A big pain and hassle.

A decent choice, but there are better ones out there.

2018-12-08

Pros

Squarespace is great to learn on. The templates are nice and not gaudy like some can be, the interface is easy to get the hang of though there is a bit of a learning curve from other similar editors, and you never have to worry about security, Squarespace takes care of that in the backend for you. It is feature rich when it comes to Ecommerce, so it makes a good first store site to learn the ins and outs on.

Cons

Squarespace and Weebly seem to be taking bets on who can get users to pay the most for their Ecommerce services before they give in and throw in the towel- which is not an attractive look.

This is a more sophisticated page, its tools are good and they have options that others do not have.

2018-07-02

It is a very good page complex, with many tools, you can create something quite professional, with a little practice and patience.

Pros

Squarespace is easy, it's different from weebly and wix, since from the toolbar is that you modify the design of it.

Cons

At the beginning you do not get used to that from the tool bar is where you modify the design, it has no alternative to part of what it shows in your template. It only lets you place few typographies on your website. You do not have many options to buy from other platforms.

Squarespace remains my top choice, but just barely.

2018-09-07

I used to build my own sites - first manually then through Wordpress. I used to have a lot of security issues. Multiple hacks and breaches. Lost sites and downtime. I haven't lost a wink of sleep over a website since I signed up for Squarespace. For me, that's worth the money I pay. The software is beautiful, slick and simple (once you understand it - it's a bit quirky). But the cost keeps rising while other, cheaper options keep getting better. I still love Squarespace, but it's increasingly tough to recommend based on price.

Pros

Squarespace is easy to set up (a site can be completed in an hour or less if you have all the info you need ready to go). Once a site is live, it rarely has any issues, becomes visible on Google fairly quickly, and there are no security worries to deal with as everything is hosted on THEIR servers, not mine. The templates are the best in the business and it's difficult to make a Squarespace site look ugly. Not impossible of course, but tough :) Drag and drop interface is great and integrations abound.

Cons

Bandzoogle has more features for bands at a better price point. Weebly has great design options.

Best option for Small Businesses that aren't IT savvy

2018-10-19

I've used several competitors, and while Wix is probably my next favorite due to customization, Squarespace is leagues better than any other site developer I've used, including Weebly, Wordpress, GoDaddy, Wix, etc.

Pros

Ease of use is unparalleled. Templates are aesthetically unmatched by competitors- it's not even close. The ability to switch between templates whenever you want is amazing. Very professional feel to website with seamless G Suite integration. Cost is very competitive. Mobile optimized websites are lightyears beyond GoDaddy and Wix.

Cons

The templates are amazing, and there are a lot of choices, but if you don't like the options, you are stuck with what they have. Customizing is very limited within the Template framework, unlike Wix. In order to be glitch-free and mobile optimized, the templates have very little customization.
