Professional Looking Website With Ease

2018-10-14

Outstanding overall experience. For a small non-profit with limited time and budget, it's a great solution for our website creation. EASY to integrate with many other platforms!

Pros

Easy drag-n-drop for producing a very professional looking website. The advantage of Weebly over some of its competitors is that if you choose to change the template, your information stays intact. With other platforms you have to recreate content. With Weebly, you can change your website appearance at the click of a button and not lose what you have already created. Definitely worth upgrading to the Pro account!

Cons

Much simpler than Wordpress, better options than Wix.

There are better options out there

2019-04-07

I've built sites in Wix, Weebly, SquareSpace, WordPress, and by hand through custom design/coding.

Pros

- Better mobile site editing than Wix - Lots of app integrations - Simple for new users

Cons

. - Not as good as Wix, definitely not as good as SquareSpace or Wordpress - If you want good design without being a designer, choose SquareSpace

Weebly Review

2019-04-01

I used Weebly in my first two years of website development and it was handy. But I then moved on as it did not have enough features I needed for my site dynamism.

Pros

It is an easy to use website builder It has got several templates to get inspiration from while starting to build your website.

Cons

It has limited features compared to competitors like Wix and Squarespace Its plans are expensive given their limited features

I've tried both Weebly and Wix (competitor of Weebly).

Pros

Good for website builder.

2019-04-10

By making websites from this and sells to the customer we are making business.

Pros

It is better website builder for small organisations. The price is also reasonable and you will get ample amount of features after paying but you are ok with the subdomain like weebly (etc.weebly.com) at end then it is free to use for website building but you might get lack some features. Customisable templates. Speed and security is good. Without writing a single line of code you can have your website. Many features and extension are available in free version and moreover the whole application will be mobile responsive.

Cons

There is no Artificial Design intelligence option like others website builders (Wix, Jimbo) have.

Weebly, a Superior Web Designer

2018-10-11

Normally I use Wix, but Weebly works just as well (and even better in some ways).

Pros

Weebly lets you create a website the way you want. The end product is exactly what you make of it, but there is so much support available, both on the official site and around the internet. In the end it's almost impossible NOT to get what you want out of Weebly, which is great.

Cons

Some more site templates would be nice.

I Want To Try Weebly Once My Wix Subscription Is Over

2019-01-11

I want to give this a bigger shot when my Wix subscription ends and I can have greater access to certain perks with the plans Weebly offers.

Pros

As opposed to competitors like SquareSpace and Wix, they facilitate hosting an online shop with an app that mamny people are already very familiar with and trust.

Cons

Some templates have really weird code built into it that it can make custom website building difficult. While dragging around text and images is a great perk, I've heard that some templates end up having jumbled code that may be tricky to resolve later if you don't type notes into the code. On top of that, the website may run slower if the code isn't so efficient, affecting the traffic coming into the site.

Making a website is super easy ... and super sloooooooooow

2018-07-31

Pros

It's not really any different from Wix or GoDaddy's website builders - functional, easy to use, and cheap.

Cons

OMG, it's so slow. If you have a teeny page, it moves ok. But once you start making a more complex website, get ready to wait. and wait. and wait ... to do anything at all. I understand that there's a lot going on behind the scenes, but when a client asks me if I work in Weebly, I tell them no. I would rather not make money than deal with the slowness.

Weebly Review

2019-01-08

Weebly is a fine service, but I find it subpar in comparison to what else is on the market.

Pros

Weebly delivers on what it promises when it comes to a website builder, which can be appreciated. I found the tutorial the site provides to be very helpful when learning how to operate building a site through this avenue.

Cons

I would not use this website builder over Wordpress or Wix. I don't find the templates as good and don't believe my site would have the opportunity to be successful on this platform in comparison to the others.

Weebly is a quick and simple website builder

2018-10-07

Pros

One of the good thing about weebly is that you can change your theme/template and download your sites code.Unlike Wix you have a certain amount of control using Html/CSS too.

Comprehensive Website Design, Slightly Outdated

2019-03-16

Great for building simple, personal projects, but not so great for a business website that needs more advanced functions.

Pros

Weebly is one of the most easy-to-use web design softwares - it requires almost zero prior knowledge of design. With preset templates (that are also mobile-compatible!), it is incredibly simple to make an aesthetically pleasing website. If working with a group, one can assign other editors, and they will have the ability to access the page and make changes.

Cons

While the website provides structure, some may find it limiting, and those who want more advanced capabilites might find Weebly lacking. Wix, for example, is adjustable to the point of giving the designer complete creative freedom.

Another Platform You Won't Want for Profitable Websites

2019-01-12

Again, similar to weebly, it's a great platform for the wannabe musicians who just want to throw a website together in hopes to get seen.

Pros

It's another one of those drag & drop platforms. Add text, drop things where you want and boom, your site is "created".

Cons

NO easy way to SEO. If you want a profitable website, you NEED to SEO the crap out of it. What's up with the hashtag also? Seriously, that's not SEO standards at all. It's not search engine compatible at all. By signing up for Wix services, you are allowing them to modify your site and your site's content simply by agreeing to the Terms of Use. <== because that's not scary? Great drag-and-drop editor

2019-03-08

It is as good as its competitors, such as Weebly or Squarespace.

Pros

Easy to use with a beautiful interface and lots of templates.

Cons

There is no free version, so it is limited when I am building not-for-profit websites.

Currently using Wix to build my website for my Health Based Consulting Business

2019-02-05

Pros

Really like that it is easier to use than other platforms like Squarespace and Weebly and how many theme templates are available.

Cons

Would like it to include branded email with the domain so that I would not have to purchase through Gsuite.

WYSIWYG - Wix is better of the drag and drop builders

2019-01-18

Overall, I like Wix as a starter. If you have a low budget and understand what it takes to design a good website for clients to visit, Wix is good starting point. Long term, Wix is not the answer as your business or web needs expand. I used Wix and still do for smaller starter websites. These to me are better than campaign pages.

Pros

Unlike their competitors (weebly, square space, etc.), wix does give you the best design control as a drag and drop.

Cons

Blog & SEO, Cost, E-commerce, and domain control. Wix is for starter websites. If you need full features, blogs, etc, you are not going to achieve real quality results utilizing Wix. Brochure, Portfolio, Information websites (which I recommend a WordPress Blog), Wix is ideal. However, the cost you will pay for a basic website, you actually save by NOT hosting with Wix. Sadly, the only way you can use the Wix platform is by paying those ridiculously high hosting fees. Plus, if you miss a months payment, you stand to lose your domain name. Other hosting companies keep your domain ownership and hosting plans separate. Ideally, this make much sense with website updates or changes over the years. The hosting cost was a huge turning point for me at Wix.

Wix is great!

2019-04-05

Pros

I've used everything from Weebly, Shopify, and WordPress, to membership softwares like BrilliantDirectories, and I have to say that Wix is the best one yet!

Cons

I wish Wix offered more stock images to choose from, but that's just a suggestion – no complaints here!

Wix has enabled me to make a stunning website for my company in no time!

2018-05-21

It helped me get a website for my soon-to be registered business, up and running in no time!

Pros

The fact that you can build a website with Wix in such little time, connect it to a domain name and get it hosted in a matter of few hours got me considering Wix over Weebly and other such website builders.

Cons

The pricing could be made more affordable especially if it has to appeal to South Asian markets since in 9/10 chances, the user will want to use it as a fully fledged professional website, will not want ads and will want a custom domain name tied to it.

Stay Away from Wix Sites

2018-09-06

Wix is great for a very BASIC website ONLY if you never need the site to be a source of generating business and you never want anyone to be able to find it.

Pros

The only positive thing I can say about Wix is that it is an option for individuals that have no web development skills.

Cons

If you need a website, skip Wix, Weebly and Squarespace and invest a little bit of money in a custom WordPress site and you'll save money in the long-run, prevent many headaches and be able to achieve the search engine rankings that are necessary to grow your business.
