Amiucs sold us their accounting software package representing that it would work. It does not work because of the constant disruption of the link with QuickBooks.

Customer Service is really awful. A government bureaucracy might be the only customer service department that is worse than Amicus.

There is no warning that you are about to close the entire program on your computer.

I am impressed that Amicus actually takes action on suggestions and has adopted user recommendations. This is a nice value add proposition.

Document management sucks. I am sure that I am not the only person who keeps all documents organized in Windows subfolders.

Only wasted money sent to a corrupt company in Abacus.

I have had a very good experience with Amicus especially with integrated file/contact/case management.

Again the diamonds get lost in the overwhelming minutia  and the events tab rarely gets used.

I like that I can have all of my Clients and cases easily accessible.

I have been using Amicus for my law practice for the last 5 years and its predecessor for years prior. It has one of the best, intuitive interfaces (and I have tried several).

TIME & MATTER MANAGEMENT: Data for our conflict database did not translate well from our previous system so conflicts checks take  too long. Adding emails or files to the matter is very clunky.

The program's visual layout, divided into files and  calendar, is easy to understand, easy to use and easy to teach new users to use.

We have been through I don't know how many upgrades through the years. My favorite version we have used was the one for small firms.

I like where you can see the expenses you have in a case. Also, you can charge a credit card payment to a client in Amicus.

We ended up purchasing their integration with QuickBooks in order to get our billing out. Their "integration" is difficult to maneuver.

Their technical support has been great. I am crazy about their support staff and can tell you this is a major reason that I have stuck it out through a steep learning curve.

Makes huge difference in time/billing accounting/revenue.

We considered other law office management systems, but I was impressed with the comprehensive nature of Abacus and it’s clear and easy system.

Technical support is sad. So many of the people we get have no idea what the problems are or why the program is doing something it should not be.

I love the ability to change the screens to suit our needs and the ability to create and run simply reports  on my own without having to pay a fortune to have one created.

This can be frustrating and annoying. When updates are made, we are not notified of the changes and must learn how to  use or work around those changes.

Customer service is bad. Once they have your money, they will avoid customers by all cost.

After we upgraded, AbacusLaw has been terrible. It changed the decade from "19" to "20" in all client birth years, which will have to be corrected manually.

It has grown with us over the years and is consistently updated. In addition it has outstanding customer service.

Great and simple product but powerful in that it tracks everything for you.

It takes care of everything from daily time tickets to billing and accounts payable. It is the comprehensive solution to running our small law office.

I also like having the ability to clone entries rather than entering the information again.

It's user friendly which helps since I have a lot of calendaring to do each day.

Abacus has a lot of integrations it makes it easy to use. We love the outlook integration which links emails.

Abacus is counter-intuitive and I wasted lots of Staff and Attorney time trying to integrate it into my practice.

As soon has my MS Office and Norton Antivirus stopped working after the installation, I requested to cancel. The salesperson said ok.

They answer their phone right away too. The cost is pretty fair.

Ours is a small office and we don't have anyone on staff with those capabilities. However, we consider this a business cost and have never had any major problems once the work is done.

Managing Attorney

This software is the worst case management software I have used. The software repeatedly freezes and it is not intuitive or user friendly.
