I can't save PDFs from Adobe directly to Leap even though i have the Leap add-in installed. And with Microsoft products i get recurring error messages and they sometimes get sick in a loop. But Leap's customer and tech support are very receptive to customer input and responsive to tech issues and problems.

The only feature I miss from previous suppliers that is not done in LEAP is the ability to see, at a glance, all documents (eg. scanned) for a particular day, or all calls for a particular day.

I have found LEAP to be an excellent all-in-one practice management solution, integrating accounting, docketing, email, and document management into a single platform.

Overall my experience with LEAP is positive because it provides a convenient one-stop-shop way to manage client files but it still leaves quite a bit of room for improvement on the technical front so it is fully user-friendly and smoothly navigable for users.

All of our folders are in "correspondence", so if we send an email and have a folder open, the email will land in that folder, and not the actual correspondence folder.

Working in a Private Client team, LEAP also makes it easier to fill out IHT 400 forms by creating the forms through its software.

After several years of continuous use and scaling to over 30 users, LEAP has proven to be a stable and comprehensive solution that supports both operational growth and day-to-day legal practice needs.

LEAP has a lot of advantages, namely that it combines document and matter management, time keeping, and billing into one tool.

We like that we can save emails and documents and add time entries easily from outlook and we like the way it works with Word.

There is also no feature you can select to exclude an invoice (we have about 100 court appointments that we have to bill at the end of the case - federal criminal cases).  

I have, more recently, been making use of the integrated AI, this can be to ask simple questions where I need a quick answer, or if it's something more complicated making sure the AI answer is correct by referring the question to a qualified professional.

I am often asked to pick up a file at short notice and by asking AI to summarise the file I receive a summary of the key issues which gives me a starting point as to the documents that I need to read.

The new Legal Aid Submit a Bulk upload was seamlessly integrated into Leap as the Legal Aid Agency changed and this meant that we could start using it immediately with no issues.

The integrations with MYOB, InfoTrack, Microsoft Office 365, and RapidPay work well and help keep everything in one place.

One downside of LEAP Legal Software is that the onboarding process and customer support responsiveness can sometimes be slower than expected, particularly during data migration or when addressing technical issues.

The other pet peeve I have is that when there is an update of the LEAP software, we have to update with our local IT service provider as it frequently jams up our cybersecurity.

Its DivorceMate integration and AI features is particularly impressive, offering powerful tools that have resulted in meaningful time and cost savings.

Raising enquiries is easier as the system reads the documents and makes suggestions, and the final report is comprehensive, compliant and easy to understand for the client.

I appreciate the ease with which I can use LEAP to save me time, as well as keep my case file organized and keep tabs on the progress of my cases.

This is something that I've noticed that some of our older attorneys are hesitant to use the system. Despite its many search and filter options, it can be challenging to locate a document, especially for new users who may feel overwhelmed by the multitude of choices.

For example, if there is a special search I like to use to help remove non-responsive materials, I would like to be able to use that same search in other cases.

Features like Co-Pilot have been invaluable for enhancing witness summaries and understanding information more effectively.

The analysis tab provides different angles of a search that the attorney may have overlooked initially.

Love the assistance provided by the Lexbe team to assist with deduping, Bate stamping, organizing, etc.

The ability to save complex searches either on a user or case level.  

Lexbe is known for its professional and prompt services, making it the ideal choice for handling complex projects.

There were a few points of frustration and delays, but overall, I had no issues with Lexbe, and I really appreciated the customer service aspect of Lexbe as well.

The upload process is so quick and easy and the cost is so reasonable Lexbe becomes a tool you will use almost every day. Once you gain proficiency with Lexbe you will be surprised with how quickly and accurately you can respond to any case research question an attorney might have.
