Pros

I find it to be easy to use and very good for keeping our documents and matters organized. The integration with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Adobe Acrobat is seamless.
In addition, whenever I have had occasion to work with their trainers and customer service personnel, they have been very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend Legal Files.
Additionally, I found Legal Files did not overwhelm the user, which makes it perfect for small to medium sized law firms. Larger law firms may want more complex feeling programs.

Cons

Documents are not arranged chronologically so it is difficult to find the most recent version.
When transferring information from one file to another, it is difficult to transfer emails, you have to do them 1 at a time which is time consuming.
Not everything is very intuitive about the software. Less experienced computer users have a hard time with it.

At the base level, it does what its supposed to do. It generates new case files. You can save notes in the case file. As far as generating documents. It doesn't particularly save a significant amount of time versus simply jumping into a word document. You could probably get by with a much more pared down application. Not particularly easy working with their support. Frankly probably the worst experience I've had working with a software vendor.

Pros

It works for what it does. Not the most elegant or moden looking application. But it saves basic client information and notes.

Cons

Small user base. So the support is not great. If you have a problem, not a great base of users with similar problems. Can customize the program, but this will require you to hire a programmer, or do so yourself. Onboarding new users is fairly complicated. In our operation, its much simpler to hand the old computer to a new user, then setup a new account on a new computer. Configurinig special folders...
