I love the system and feel like it makes organizing my clients and also keeping them updated and informed very easy and it allows me to have the files organized and make sure I stay on top of everything.

They require accounting “onboarding” which is two steps, not the one step they promise, and each appointment takes a week to schedule (they only do those on Tuesdays and Thursdays, according to their calendar system).

The cost has gone up significantly...but what hasn't - some of the features such as mycase desktop are useless - if they add to my costs I am not using them and so the company should focus on its core usefullness and not try to replace word or whatever they were trying to do with the internal editing platform.

I don't like their split billing process.   If I generate an invoice and split it between two people, and one person pays on the invoice and the other does not, I am not able to forward that invoice to the new invoice, and only bill the prior invoice to the one person who didn't pay.  

The best feature of MyCase is what drew me to this case management software initially: it gives users a brilliant way to record time entries and expenses.

Overall, MyCase has been a helpful tool for managing client information, tracking deadlines, and organizing case documents. While there are occasional glitches, the platform generally improves efficiency and keeps our workflow organized.

The document management features could use beefing up to make it more of an e-discovery platform (better search features etc.) or perhaps build and interface with existing e-discovery systems.

I like the option to bill clients with the built-in share option and that clients can make payments directly through the link in their invoice.

That way, the invoices generated will be addressed to either an individual or to a corporation AND if a corporation that should be a "designated contact" printed on the invoice as a "Care Of or c/o" below the corporation/firm name of the client so that the invoice is routed properly at the Client.

There is a seach bar but sometime the court sends the filed docs back with a random title and the person who uploaded the document did not change the title.

Collecting money from client is also pretty easy as LawPay integrates with the software and you can do things like setting up payment plans.  

It also allows you to track your communications (texts and emails mainly) automatically.  

Also, when a new case is made, the workflow should ask if this is for an individual or corporate client, then guide the user to start with either an individual contact or a corporation that has contacts.

HR Manager

The system only allows global messages to all clients, but not customized group emails.

Owner Attorney

The only thing that I do not care for, is if a client changes their phone number, the communication previously had with them via text, does not stay connected to the client's file.

I also don't like that payments to prior invoices don't show up in any history that you can put on a current invoice.  

It is very appreciate that customer service is always accessible in case of need and the video reference to learn all the things in mycase.

It is slightly annoying to see times in my inbox and have to remember that 8am is not a scheduled event but some notice from a case.

The case details were presented in an organized way, the tone remained professional yet approachable, and the action points were concise , making next steps easy to follow.

It is very transparent with pricing and invoicing as well as super user friendly for clients to use the portal as well.

I like some the integrations they offer, such as with InfoTrack, which automatically adds filing expenses to cases.

Price and the fact that you can't "select all" when choosing which itemized time entry you do not want to charge for.

Having one spot to see the entire client file inclusive of payment history has worked well for us.

I LOVE THE INVOICING, THE ABILITY TO TRACK PAYMENTS AND REVENUE (SIMILAR TO QUICKBOOKS) AND THE ABILITY TO TAKE PHYSICAL PAYMENTS.

Being in Australia the maintenance (weekly) is a little frustrating as all the staff end up having to take a forced break we are paying for....

The program keeps my cases organized, and although I don't use all of the functions due to my practice being solo, It has all the functionality I need.

Notifications for client messages, text messages, and client documents are a little harder to navigate with the new user interface.

Uploading documents for clients is not as powerful as direct user access.

As far as I can tell you can "batch" bill but you cannot automatically send reminders or payment demands on all past due clients.

I also wish I could generate client-specific, rather than matter-specific calendars for clients with multiple matters.

I also love being able to edit and populate documents from the same space as well as saving the most recent version to your documents is so easy.

You can manage documents, deadlines, and Client invoices/Trust Accounting all in one place, and more. If there is a function you need and don't see, not to worry.

I also don't like that a number shows up on the calendar but it's for other users, not me.

We're a small firm, and MyCase offers subscriptions that fit our needs without forcing us to pay for features we don't need.

We have been unable to use the email synch feature, despite getting IT involved.
