Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

Google AdSense overview
What is Google AdSense?
Google's AdSense tool is a software for monetizing websites. Thus, the software acts as an ad server, with which one's own website or blog can serve as an additional source of income. Via a few lines of code, the ads are played out fully automatically on the website.
When using content management systems such as WordPress, own programming skills are not necessary. Instead, the implementation is taken over by a stand-alone, mostly paid software, with which the placement is done with a mouse click. One such software is Advanced Ads for WordPress. The Google AdSense code is embedded via the AdSense ID made available by Google.
Mostly, advertisers are focused on topic and user relevant ads as they increase the click-through rate. AdSense allows, after prior approval by the visitor, to display advertising content tailored to the user. In most cases, these are advertisements from websites that the user was on shortly before. The advertising is responsive, which makes it equally suitable for computers and mobile devices.
The website owner can choose the advertisers. In the dashboard of the Google Adsense application, all advertisers who place or have placed ads on the blog or website can be found. The ads that should no longer appear on the website can be blocked instantly.
