Our commitment

Independent research methodology

Verified user reviews

GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.

Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.

How GetApp ensures transparency

GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Pros

“The player customization let me keep everything on brand, the privacy controls made it easy to manage exactly who could see what, and the analytics gave me real insight into how people engaged with my content.”

Peter M.

Owner

“We use it to host hundreds of custom videos generated automatically through our content pipeline, and the ability to control and manage those videos through the API has been particularly valuable.”

Corin S.

Cons

“Often we are unable to upload directly from mobile (probably due to a cloud error on our end), so we need to first transfer it to a computer and then from there upload via a web browser.”

Richard G.

Yoga Instructor

“Videos hosted on SproutVideo can't be watched directly in the Patreon iOS app so my subscribers are forced to log into their Patreon account on Safari in order to watch my content.”

Sarah A.

Gaming content creator

“I wanted to set up a second, account and could have been easier to clone the account and delete the unrequired videos then have to download and reupload videos, very time consuming.”
