I will run a report, and I use the FULL_NAME field quite often in reports, but if it is a new contact imported from Qgiv, FULL_NAME will show up empty, and I will ask myself, "Who is this donor?" and then I will remember, "Oh I need to run a calculation by hand and run the report over again."  

There is a bit of a learning curve with the reporting functionality and certain reporting limitations if you are looking to run customized reports.
