User info can’t be linked to any external database (i.e. giving, account info, user notes, etc), so you have to run everything through them (which currently is not robust enough of a ChMS).

I know that there are many companies that do that and we are technically paying more now than we were with Subsplash. With Subsplash though there was no trial periods or no option to drop a service if you found you weren't using it. If you signed up for it you were stuck with it whether or not it fit your ministry.

Subsplash purchased "The Church App", so I never choose Subsplash.

Subsplash comes with a hefty price tag that is a large investment for churches. And while most of the features are what churches need, some will find limitations on the platform such as tweaking the app and website to look exactly like you want.

One of the main things I did not like about Subsplash was their tendency to charge for every small add on.

Subsplash is very easy to implement and train the users on basic operations, whether for one-time giving or recurring.

This include donor data fields, exporting capabilities and third party app integrations.

However we are constantly told to take pictures and record the glitches.  

There still isn't full integration among the various platforms, but it continues to get better.

Overall, we liked working with Subsplash and we are still using it for our website and media management.

The app is simple, and perhaps isn't completely necessary for every church.  

No login is required to use the app, and I find this very freeing.

Uploading media and information is simple, and it's seamlessly added throughout the platform, from the app to the website.

We have yet to see a decrease in our fees after years of use.

I love receiving notifications of my anticipated giving so that I can make sure the funds have been properly deposited before withdrawal.  

The onboarding process of the software was easy but the organization purchasing the app is left to navigate a pretty complicated app system with Apple and Android markets.

They have consistently been adding new features as well which make video tagging, etc. more accessible to the user.

I love the recurring payment option and the drop down for multiple categories for giving.

This allows you to go back months later and still have the connection between the notes you took and the sermon, even allowing you to easily watch the sermon again.

Your videos are searchable, archived with great organization, and playable on any device.

Building an app can be complicated and they really help you through the process all the way to getting your app approved to launch.

There are more affordable options out there that essentially do the same thing and cost way less per year but they aren't as beautifully designed.

Subsplash’s website building tool is outdated and offers very little in terms of templates. While it’s nice in theory to manage the app and the website with the same service, we found squarespace much easier and more powerful in terms of managing a website.

The video post-processing after a video upload can take a long time.

This was especially true during the beginning of COVID when churches were switching to using more online video.

The way videos are sorted is also a bit strange (It doesn’t seem to be by time.).

I love the flexibility to customize and send push notifications on the go where things seemlesly share between the app and the website portal.

I would like the header bar to be horizontal versus vertical - like reading a book left to right.

They also have a website builder that we don't use, but it as a part of their offering.

The features are limited and I would say it is only useful for actual churches.

Once you are emailed the link, it is easy to set up to have your giving go directly to the organization(s) of your choice.  

Usually I end up having to retype every single line of the Notes I took during the sermon and hope that it synchronizes at some point.

We signed a contract for data conversion and use of the software the first of June 2024.

To do so, however requires me to put a dummy email address into the employee record so when the program generates the initial password, I can retrieve it, then reset the email address to the correct value.

The only thing I could recommend changing is that when a spouse/household member is inactivated (e.g., death, divorce, separation), to have the Family Information page be updated automatically OR at least be prompted to make necessary changes on that page, too.

Parishsoft has all of the key data fields to know and contact your congregation. If you are committed to good data in, this software can enhance your knowledge of who you need to serve.

I almost always select the 100 entries option when I review a Batch but I have to  re-select this option every time I go back to the Batch.   Why can't I have 100 entries be the default for a session once  I select it?

I wish there were more categories where I could put parishioners into groups such as: Confirmation, First Communion, Baptism and Youth Group.

Our parish has been using ParishSoft for many years but especially since we converted to cloud-based use and new version that was implemented over a year and a half ago is extremely helpful and efficient is handling data.  Would recommend to other parishes.
