Pros

Their customer service is fantastic, they respond quickly and can get you moving in the right direction right away. You get the feeling that they want to help you be successful.
The software is very easy to learn and use, along with great features and functionality. Has some great workarounds and has been able to do everything we've needed and much more.
I've evaluated a few other solutions and for the money, Finale is great. There is a learning curve and it certainly helps if you're good with excel.

Pros

The super cheap and easy to use interface is awesome. Being able to carry a card reader at all times has improved the way I take deposits for gear rentals.
The compactness of it was definitely appreciated and it was nice to have one, easy to find location for all the important statistics.
The ease of use, the sleek feel, great customer service and great rates. I trust Square with my business and so should you.

Cons

All systems lack something but there are no real standouts to me right now. Having done so many system ups, I have had to find less manual or other workarounds to run this system.
Sometimes when mapping items, I start to type and a drop down menu of items appears and when I click on the correct one, the wrong one gets inputted.
I dislike that we can't delete Product Lookups from a Product ID once it's been created.

Cons

I had to sit with my bank to file a dispute with Square, put a hold on all charges by Square, and start using an entirely different payment processor just to avoid Square stealing my money.
A client purchased multiple packages totally thousands of dollars from my company, received the services, and then disputed the charges as 'unrecognized. I provided the following to square.

It hooks up to lightspeed retail POS which was the only other alternative than Hyperspace which cost wise was too much.

Cons

Would like it to look more "app" like. Would like to be able to open several product cards to change fields in one screen.

Overall I have to say one of the most impressive experiences with Finale is its people. It's a small group of people who work personally to help you get set up and learn the system. They know their stuff, are professional and friendly. It really is like they are a part of your own team. Their customer service is fantastic, they respond quickly and can get you moving in the right direction right away. You get the feeling that they want to help you be successful.

Pros

The software is impressive because it works. Our previous inventory management software would have "glitches" sometimes it didn't sync our five sales channels so we were constantly experiencing inventory issues. That stopped with Finale and our numbers have been spot on since. One thing that makes Finale a winning choice for us is that it integrates with Square which we use for POS in our brick and mortar store. Finale keeps our store, website and internet marketplaces inventory synced in near real time.

Cons

I have to force myself to come up with things I don't like about Finale. But if I could have a wish list, I would like it to automatically sync new products every few minutes like it does with inventory rather than nightly. Although, you can manually initiate the sync. A little more automation with sales channel associations and expected product cost would be nice too.

My immediate first impression is the AMAZING positive customer support during implementation of Finale Inventory. The training, tutorials and available tools have provided an efficient way to resolve any questions when maintaining inventory with the Finale Inventory application. This company continues to expand its software features, and I look forward to more options as they grow. The integration with other software programs such as BigCommerce, ShipStation, and Square was a smooth process. I would highly recommend them when considering great customer service and an affordable inventory management system.

I have been using Finale for over Six months now and it really has been one of the better decisions that we have made moving forward with a warehouse management system. It was recommended to us by mutual friends. We came from using Skubana and there were so many things that just didn't work nor met our expectations about a WMS. We had to change a lot of our natural workflow to adapt to Skubana limitations...

Great easy to use product

Our overall experience has been fantastic. The biggest benefit we've received is having inventory levels pushed to our e-commerce stores. This one feature alone enabled us to not backfill a position when an employee left the company.

Pros

Uploading to this software is so much easier than any other software I've used before.

Cons

The only drawback we've encountered is scanning for kits. We'd like to be able to scan one time and have inventory levels adjusted for each item in the kit, but we need to scan each item individually.

Pros

It is very easy to use! When you don't understand how to do something, there are help videos for everything! It works extremely well with Quickbooks which is essential for running my business smoothly.

Cons

There is honestly nothing I don't like. The few instances that I have come across a report or screen that doesn't work exactly for my business, the team are able to make accommodations for me. The customer service is amazing!

Great software, well thought out layout, and the support is quick and on the ball (which is a HUGE asset). The system specific reporting module is also very easy to navigate and super helpful for businesses that don't staff an internal report writer.

Pros

The amount of customization available out of the box with Finale Inventory makes it an ideal tool, especially for small businesses with unusual inventory management practices.

Cons

I would love to see a bit less reliance on ShipStation as a partner system for some basic order management tasks.

As a fulfillment company we had inventory for 20+ different clients each wanting an inventory report at any given time and for sure at the end of each month. Before Finale we were tracking inventory only on spreadsheets, this meant hours and hours were spent physically counting inventory. I can't tell you how many late nights were spent at the warehouse counting inventory. Once Finale was implemented...

Pros

I love having the BoM feature. It has helped with our Kits that are either pre-built for the pick line or are a bundle that need to be shipped together. It has helped immensely with tracking inventory.

Cons

Wish it had an ios app for when I am away from my desk, that could easily pull up and display information.

Powerful, fast, and customizable.

Finale Inventory's flexible UI and custom fields is allowing us to migrate from our old, archaic inventory system while we create new work-flows and simplify processes. Finale Inventory's powerful search engine allows us to operate by searching on product title so we don't have to barcode every item and can locate products as long as we know some of the words in the title. All of this combined with great support has made Finale Inventory a core foundation to our business.

Pros

Blazing fast real-time search. I can search for a product or customer with just a couple words (partial or out of order words are not a problem for Finale). The UI is customizable and this ability combined with custom fields allows for very flexible work-flows that I was not able to achieve with several other inventory programs.

Cons

I wouldn't really say it is a "con" but rather a by-product of the awesome customization potential - The custom reports have a bit of a learning curve when doing it yourself the first couple of times, but the support is AMAZING and I've gotten quick assistance and was given the exact report I needed. Reports can be duplicated and modified to quickly tweak any of the default reports.

Finale Is The Best Inventory System On The Market & Amazing Customer Support

We have been using Finale for the past year and a half and it truly is awesome. It does take some effort to fully understand and utilize, but, it's well worth the effort. Even better than their 5 star software is Finale's 10 star customer support. I like to believe our business has the best customer support, but it can't hold a candle to the extra mile the folks at Finale go to help their customers. Thank you Finale for a great product and truly out of this world customer support!

Finale Completely Changed Our Business

Honestly, I love everything about Finale. Before we started using the software, we were using Google sheets to keep track of all of our inventory. To say that getting Finale was life changing is an understatement. It made sending POs and keeping track of inventory so much easier and faster and was pivotal in helping us grow our business. Not only that, the customer support is out of this world. Anytime I have a question (which is pretty often), the team responds extremely quickly and is always willing to hop on a call to help me with whatever I need. I couldn't recommend this software more.

Cons

There are a few features and reports that we looked for that Finale didn't have, but nothing that has really made that much of an impact.

Tracking our inventory! Finale does everything an inventory software should do for your business.

The best thing about Finale is the ease of use of the software. Everything is mostly self-explanatory and there is no need to spend a week training on the system because it is so easy to use.

I've been looking for an inventory management program for our company for a few years and wasn't having much luck until I looked into Finale. They provide a clean interface that is quick and web based which is nice. The setup was rather easy and their customer service team helps out whenever I have questions about the program and also have added features when possible. Of all the programs I've reviewed, I would highly recommend Finale to handle your online market inventory for sure!

Great Inventory Management for the Right Price

Finale offers inventory management for your online selling channels as well as warehouse. Very easy to use. Some improvements are a must such as wireless syncing and eliminate the need to create lookups. Overall very satisfied

Pros

Easy to use. Mobile device solution for picking, receiving...etc. You can customize product/stock screen view and add/remove filters to see what you need. Lots of features and ability to customize.

Cons

No wireless syncing available yet and you have to create product lookup for everything you list on selling channels or otherwise will not update. This should be automatic.

Finale Is Great

I have to say the people at Finale are wonderful to deal with. We have had to have numerous calls and they are always so helpful.

Pros

We have a lot of product assembly kit items and finale allows you to create those and have the pieces taken out of inventory when the kit is sold. It is hard to find a good kitting inventory software.

Cons

We had to convert our cases to pieces to make this software work with the multiple locations. It is very hard for us to get use to this.

Great product, but sometimes not reliable.

Overall the inventory system is great! It accomplished everything we needed it for and more.

Pros

Finale Inventory has a very simple import tool. You simply copy data from an excel spreadsheet and paste them into the inventory system through you web browser as the inventory is cloud-based. Finale takes care of the rest. This truly intuitive copy/paste import method saves time, and having the ability to edit products in your catalog editing your catalog makes it struggle free. Generating Purchase...

Cons

The system is sometimes a little glitchy. The Finale team do promise to iron some of these out in the near future, but right now they still remain. Their team rarely apologies if the system hasn't been working as it should, and never admit fault.

This helps to keep track of what I am selling at events. Before I used square, I would hand write my inventory and keep tally marks under what was sold. This also allows me to used credit card.

Pros

I use it mostly for events. I like that it keeps track of the inventory so I can easily keep track of what to remove my my retail store inventory.

Cons

Since I use it for events that happen annually, I wish there was a way to group my inventory for each event so that only the items that I am taking to that event shows up. I have to add and delete items each time I do a new event which is time consuming.

VERY EASY TO USE, ALWAYS 100% ACCURATE.... WE LIKE THAT WE CAN TRACK ALL OF OUR LARGE INVENTORY AT A GLANCE AND A PUSH OF A BUTTON. WE ARE ABLE TO HAVE OUR INVENTORY DONE CORRECTLY BECAUSE OF SQUARE.

Cons

SOMETIMES IT FREEZES WHEN WE DO NOT WANT IT TO. WE HAVE TO REBOOT AND THE SYSTEM IS FINE. THIS HAS ONLY OCCURED A COUPLE OF TIMES AND HAS NOT OCCURED ANY MORE

Less features than free version

Pros

The new inventory management could have been a great feature. However, it eliminates the ability to enter inventory manually. It has the ability to process returns, however eliminates the ability to use other functions available in the free version.

Cons

The retail version has less features than the free version. Inventory can only be uploaded and can not be entered manually. The upload feature does include field matching, so it is a very, very laborious to convert from another system. Customer service is virtually non existent and not available on the weekends. We use have two square stands in our retail store. We love the current square system and were excited about the retail version and willing to pay the fee for both registers. We are looking for a more robust inventory system and POS and were excited about continuing with square. The new Square App does not come close to other POS systems . Very disappointing. I hope square improves this software before we select an alternative.

Easy for customers and retail owners

Easy setup, integration with accounting software, good reporting, not too pricey, and very reliable.

Pros

Our church started a small bookstore that quickly grew into a large retail store. Square has made inventory and payment processing easy for customers and users. As the person responsible for the reconciliation of inventory and financials I highly recommend it.

Cons

Customer service is not always knowledgeable with front-facing issues and reporting questions but very willing to help.

Pros

I love the integration with Big Commerce so I can easily sell online and in store with inventory syncs immediately. We do a lot of volume so the immediate inventory sync is very important to us or we would oversell items.

Cons

The retail app needs some work but I understand they need more time to update the software. Once the bugs get worked out, I would love to have a complete retail POS solution. In my mind it would include, physical inventory counts using scanners for tons of inventory -preferable to have multiple people doing different parts of the store at the same time. Included in retail should be a report for the inventory status/financial which would include total count, total cost, and total retail price of the entire store/warehouse. Also, a better integration for Quickbooks online. I'm scared to add this integration because it gets horrible reviews.

Too many glitches in the system.

- Streamlined use - Lower level product variation searches

Pros

- Inventory accounting - lower level search function - streamlined look - ease of use at POS - clear screens

Cons

- Problems with the system tracking inventory properly - Looses saved items entered - Doesn't tell you if you have duplicate skew - Should not have to press CHARGE on the screen prior to inserting credit card - No ability to save tickets (If this is not fixed soon we will have to drop this version of software because we can't use this at the holidays) - Need images for each item on POS - Assigns random skews to items with large amounts of variations (happens when we do a bulk download)
