General Office Manager

With my role as the general office manager who mainly works in the marketing and customer service department, I use Leap CRM on a daily basis to track leads, set up appointments, capture client records/notes and keep track of analytics.

They make you call them and speak with them directly (extremely difficult to reach them via phone, email or their online chat) to get rid of users. If you don’t know to do this (they won’t tell you outside of fine print), and simply delete one or more of your users yourself without reaching someone to officially request that they also delete the “license”, they’ll just continue charging you without letting you know.

In a world where we are so busy its nice to have this program to keep the pace and monitor job status.

Paid an additional 4 months due to "contract obligation" and they STILL charged an additional month even after putting in writing.

I've learned from a fantastic team, been able to merge several of our tools into Leap thusly saving us money and time, and continue to find ways to improve upon every part of our current setup.

The price hike became 3x what I used to pay and they forced me to pay it for two months despite my never agreeing to this price adjustment citing their 60 day written notice stipulation.

What was once an invaluable tool for estimating and CRM has become overpriced and riddled with unnecessary changes that only benefit the company, not its users.

Worse, the company enforces a ridiculous 60-day written cancellation policy, yet they implemented the rate increase immediately.

How reporting pulls the data, I have to often create my own to get more accurate reporting.

After that they raised rates 125% and do not want to cancel my subscription as requested multiple times.

The company refused any sort of reimbursement, for the 6+ months we paid for the software and were unable to use it due to their own customer service negligence.  

Customization options, user friendly dashboard, amazing service from support team ([sensitive content hidden] are fantastic!)

It needs more updating, too much new stuff for older employees to navigate

The most difficult and non user friendly CRM I have ever had to us.

Rough in beginning, took 3-4 month to fix QuickBooks sync issue.

It's ease of use for my reps and the ability to get quick help from Leap's staff, if and when needed.

I liked it before it was bought out - the original version called Job Progress was a better solution.

Everything you do relates to something else in the CRM so it is all important.   Once you understand the integration and support- it all makes sense and is easy to use.  

It took me months of constant requests for assistance, before we finally cancelled altogether.

There are much better and more affordable tools available for contractors.

Look elsewhere for tools that respect their customers and offer real value.

Deceptive and virtually impossible to cancel your subscription.

With this rate increase, they’ve priced themselves out of being competitive.

The data that can be retrieved and utilized is amazing!  

Great! Once setup and deployed there is minimum maintenance needed.

The calendar says it has a 2 way sync with Google but its been broken for as long as I have used the system (over a year), the reporting functions within the system are very poor and half the time when you set filters for the reports (the same filters) you get different information, the activity feed does not capture everything that happens on a job/ with a customer and its leave the user questioning how certain things on a file were done/ by whom.

the application closes while I am in the middle of an operation, and while I wait for the system to save the last generated information, it hangs sometimes and I have to start all over again.

We asked them to make some changes to improve the system, and they did it in a very short time, which was very beneficial for us since we did not have to cancel any operations.

Business Development 

It has so many flaws -the email load chain is obnoxious, emails get lost or never received, there are too many steps to do simple tasks, the custom contracts are not readable to the finance portion, estimates can not be converted to contracts, the calendar has never synced properly,  it’s hard to access closed jobs if archived, pictures take forever to load through the app, there are too many options on the system that don’t pertain to our industry (pool business)

This system connected with Quickbooks projects as we needed, had great customer service, was able to be adjusted around for our flow of business, and had document creation, electronic acceptances, and storage.

Operations Coordinator

The lack of a grid-type work center that allows for filtering and reporting on all data fields and tables at once , and the slow refresh of data.  

Managing Electrician

The time tracking feature is basically useless because the only thing you can do is literally clock in and out of a certain job. If you forget to clock in at a specific time the whole day is ruined so you have to continue to have another system for time tracking for payroll - Which is annoying for something that should be a one stop app for everything.

President 

This is the only way I can stay organized,  manage my team and their responsibilities,  interact with customers and manage all the documentation necessary to run a multi million dollar business.
