This worldwide meta-search engine and dedicated virtual platform assists private individuals and organizations with placing lost items back into the hands of rightful owners. Lost and Found Manager provides an administrative front-end for cataloging items and public inquiries, making matches, while also handling the logistics of processing returns. Found items can be added initially using a field-based form or via an image recognition system that automatically identifies item type, brand, color, model etc and location where the object was found.

Lost item inquiry forms can be integrated into websites via iFrame to assist customers, before smart matching uses probability to automatically suggest likely ownership. Communication and authentication is aided here with integrated online chat capabilities while any handover of matched items to owners or authorized third parties is recorded with the software's document management functionality. Additionally, the Handling Gateway supports the shipping and payment process (where necessary) with the documented billing of fees and also the generation of shipping labels. Other notable features within the Lost and Found Software include a task list for defining specific procedures around particular items, customizable categories, history tracking, plus role-based user management. An auction and charity module also allows organizations to set up auction or charitable packages of unclaimed items, exportable as Excel spreadsheets, that can then be re-imported where required after the event.

Great contact with the software team who are keen to assist and even implement new functions or customize certain parts to make our work easier.

Our cusotmers of course appreciate the increased return rate. For us, the software really decreased the amount of time and effort we have to put into matching found property with their owners. That gives us so much more time to serve our cusotmers. The features I'd like to point out are image recognition (take a picture of an item and the technology actually recognizes and categorizes it), automatic matching of items and owners and the return portal (shipping + payment).

There could be more languages offered, though this seems to be an issue being tackled at the moment.

Very nice piece of software and a very enthusiastic team that always has an open ear for updates, new features or improvements that then actually get done.

Great team behind the software that helped us really customise everything exactly how we needed it.

We didn't want the solution hosted on AWS, which was finally possible, but only after long discussions
