Keeping track of rate trends and increasing/decreasing those rates based on the market is much more fluid in ESS than our former method of using up to three different services, none of which were warehouse specific solutions.

What I like most about it is the ease of use, the incredible flexibility and functionality, and the fact that it's all cloud-based instead of local on your PC.

Ongoing problems with their software, including a broken data feed from Uhaul.com, where customers pay online, which has been broken for more than 6 months.

The say they integrate with several 3rd parties but it is not true integration, manual processes must come into play in all APIs.

The help desk doesn't know how to answer 75% of questions.

With just completing setup recently their are alot of unanswered questions that we will need to contact webselfstorage regarding payment processing and conversion in general.

Our customers are no longer getting email notifications. Because of a conflict in email security.

It does have some bugs, some times when i input a lot of different customer accounts it overwrites my work.

We needed to separate Web Self Storage from our original one business to now two businesses.

We inherited this system when we purchased our self storage properties, and haven't switched because we have so many customers on auto pay that we do not have their credit card info so that we can easily switch them over without making hundreds of phone calls.

Our electronic gate access  is not on there list that compatible with  the program ,

I am not a novice with managing electronic data or with spreadsheet data manipulation.  

IT is unable to help figure out why a new lease is generated every single time I take payment on a unit at one location but not the second.  

Sometimes we do not have resolution to glitches.  

Customer relationship therefore terminated (before it really ever got off the ground) by webselfstorage.

We have used other programs, and this by far offers the best coverage for all aspects of storage tasks, reports, and accountability.  

Emailing has been tricky with several not getting to the customer.

You are not stuck to one single computer, or flash drive, to access your up-to-the-moment facility activity.  

No answer to phone calls, their web contact form is broken and errors out, so you're just out of luck.

As with any program, on rare occasions, you will find the need for a minor adjustments to personalize to your facility.  

There are ways to adjust internal actions, but never for received dates.  

Support is available through live chat, phone support, or email support.  

Outside of the down times, there's bugs and issues with the system.

My overall experience with WebSelfStorage is successful.  

I'm sure this is possible but just haven't talked with anyone about it.

Most the time you ignore it, and wait a little bit; today is the 1st of the month, and they've been down (unavailable!)

Does not send reminders and IT has been "working on it" for over a year now.  

WebSelfStorage is more than your typical unit management software.  

The monthly costs are much lower than other software.  

He, and all their support staff, make sure all you questions are answered, with no lingering uncertainty.  

This allows me to be on the property helping my customer, while someone else helps another customer over the phone!
