This helps me and my team track and communicate what is happening with all our projects. Before, it was difficult to keep everyone up to date on each project.
The amount of customization that can be done is really helpful. This software has a lot of features, such as custom fields, that are great. This is really an easier to use Microsoft Project.
This tool is really meant for project managers or anyone who would use it daily. It can be difficult to get people to use it who are not familiar with project management or do not care about keeping up with it. There are also some restrictions on what can be done that only people with very high access can change.

Project owners/managers should be notified about all communication within a project; not just information we are tagged on.

In general, there is a lot of engagement with Adobe Workfront. Customers appreciate the executive's highlights, such as task following, asset management, and coordinated effort tools, as well as the stage's ambitious endeavor. The ability to adapt work procedures and include task-related activities is frequently regarded as a major benefit. We see it as an important tool for streamlining the project and the executive's processes and enhancing group productivity, even though there may be an expectation to learn and adapt specific to the stage.
For the teams I work on at my organization, moving from four distinct platforms—ServiceNow, Excel, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Project—to one platform has been a lifesaver when it comes to project intake, planning, and execution. We developed our own workflows, taught our submitters on a single system, and subsequently trained our PMs on the same system. One benefit I really enjoy is that we may add new features and modifications at any time.
It does take some getting used to the program. In order to become familiar with the terminology (tasks vs. projects, dashboards, and reports), a significant amount of onboarding typically occurs. From the standpoint of my team, we utilized our onboarding sessions to personalize dashboards for each team member. Both the designers' and copywriters' dashboards are separate. Thus, even while the intricacy is a drawback, there is a lot of room for additional customization.

It works pretty well and its intuitive. I haven't had much trouble using what's currently a part of the system.
Notification. I've been having problems with getting project email notifications from requesters. The project request is in the system but no email is sent.

We have been using the Workfront solution for over 12 months now, and have found the service and availability of the cloud solution nothing less than excellent. We engaged and deployed in less than 2 months, we 3 onsite weeks with their consultant. Since it has been live, it is flexible enough too change the shape and direction of the change approval solution as we have moved along, moving from project to programme and now portfolio management. Some limitations with linking to MS Project and reporting, but a solid solution. The workfront team are very good to work with, fun and knowledgeable.

Overall Workfront gets the job done when it comes to organizing projects and displaying the progress.
I love the option to view a dashboard of all my projects to see their progress.
I wish that Workfront had notifications on project progress. We moved from Trello to Workfront and I really miss getting notified on the progress of each project.

We are solving a lot of our project request and project management need with Workfront.
Easy to use, and much better than what we were previously using. Helped us consolidate a lot of processes into one system.
There are still some quirks that have popped up. Just small inconveniences, but things that I know they will look at and improve

-Project visibility across multiple groups & departments -Reporting/tracking on time delivery of deliverables & projects -More insight into workload of users on different teams
-Project visibility across multiple teams - Workfront makes it easy for different groups to work on projects together & provide updates through the system, so all your project information is gathered in one place. The project details page & updates become your one source of truth when tracking why a project became late or who made decisions about certain project aspects. -Project templates - The ability to create project templates makes opening new projects a breeze & quicker manipulation of due dates
-Resource allocation - I think that the process of bulk assigning users to project tasks is a bit clunky, but I still like the feature. It feels awkward having to leave your project, go to a different tab, and navigate through several more clicks to find where to bulk assign all of your project tasks.

For how we use it, it works well on a day to day basis. Report capabilities seem excellent, though I have only used reports created by the admin team, so I don't know much about the report creation process.
Our company values accurate time tracking, especially time spent working on projects vs "light on" type of work. This product allows great configurability for setting up time tracking for projects, tasks, and various kinds of "lights on" work (i.e. bugfix, routine maintenance, enhancement, etc) by business area supported, etc, which allows us to create accurate reporting on these measures. This helps in greatly in resource mananagement, such as when teams can absorbe more work, when they are overloaded, when to add an FTE or bring in consultants, etc.
It is incredibly full featured and sometimes feels like using a sledgehammer to hammer in a nail. Admittedly, we are not using it to it's full advantage, but even the process of adding a project and subordinate tasks to my timesheets seems overly tedious. Specifically, if a project manager gives me the project # in workfront, if I search for that it never returns the project for me to add. I have to know something in the title of the project to find it, and then I can add tasks, etc.

Pretty easy for creatives to understand and to set up reports and dashboards with an quick snapshot of what's important. We want to spend about 5-10% of the day in Workfront so it's easy to do the basics with.
Not being able to attach files to comments in Updates, not being able to use Tasks like a Microsoft PP, Google Sheet or Smartsheet (which is a the most basic project management birdseye view at this point), not being able to turn off features that you don't want your team to use (like attaching documents to tasks instead of putting in a folder).

Overall, it seems like there are more features than we need at this time. I think the tool has a lot of potential and would be great for companies looking to track more information. However with all that functionality, the tool becomes confusing to do simple project managament.
I like how it is easy to tag someone in a project to notify them of your comment. This makes collaboration easy, and it's a nice way to remind someone of a task.
The platform is not intuitive. It's not easy to go from your task list to a project. I also don't completely understand the need for each task to have it's own page since it makes commenting more segmented in the project. We use the main project page vs individual task pages.

In Cross-Functional Team meetings, I use Project to easily manipulate schedules and provide quick access dates to the team members. Instead of editing the dates in a slow and clunky WorkFront schedule, Project instantly updates dates and provides me with what I need. Once the schedule tasks are created and I make a visual schedule, it's a nice tool to be able to present to team members.
Still using 2010 version as company won't upgrade my system. Feels like I'm missing out on new features that could make me more efficient. Sometimes exporting the visual schedule can be difficult in placing it into Microsoft Note or an email.
