Being able to make spreadsheets to track documents
The Outlook Add-in doesn't keep you signed in. I don't use it and don't recommend using it.

Ability to think of projects in different ways, sometimes more useful than traditional proj mgmt apps.
If you think in terms of simple lists, rows and columns, and like to write and track (mentally) your projects on paper, Smartsheet is for you.
For me, the more complex and detailed the project was, the more I had to rely on more traditional project mgmt software.

Everything involved in workflow previously was paper-focused. Using Smartsheet has cleaned some functions up, and we're hoping to transition more to the same system in the coming months.
Smartsheet allows us to share information quickly & easily among several users in different locations. Being cloud-based means we don't have to worry about backups, and being able to view cell history helps us to track changes without issue. It was purchased for work-flow management, but has become an invaluable resource for HR & maintenance as well.
If the calendar feature could be expanded to include time as well as date, that would be much more useful for scheduling.

I'm proud of the fact that I revamped several of the department's outmoded forms to make them accessible to everyone. Print runs were smaller and more people were talking in the paper.
When it comes to incorporating dependencies into a project plan, Smartsheet really shines. Plans for projects can be quickly converted into dashboards for straightforward, automatic reporting.
Smartsheet's gantt chart feature is useless. The gantt chart in this program is the most difficult one I've used to study. The grid layout makes it difficult for me to present my data, thus I usually have to export it to a different program.

Overall smartsheet has been a really good choice for managing my tasks and projects in real time with very productive workflow management there is no second thought about it.
The overall workflow management of smartsheet is very seamless, smooth and efficient. the task management and scheduling both have been very easy with smartsheet. The things that i loved the most would also integrate forms automation and very seamless integration with dropbox and microsoft teams like apps.
While reporting options are effective but they are limited and this becomes a con that i would mention in the list. In addition the task progress tracking can aslo be made more efficient. Rest of the things i dont have any complaints as such.

SmartSheet has proven a vital tool for our team to collaborate and keep track of department-wide to-do's. Without it, we would likely still use Excel and have to save to a shared folder like Dropbox. We've made great use of the pre-created templates SmartSheet provides too.
SmartSheet has replaced Excel for me in many ways. Our team uses it for project management, to keep track of action item progress, and for editorial calendars, including social media.
The only complaint our team has had is that SmartSheet doesn't have tabs the way that Excel is able to, but this doesn't bother me. You're able to see multiple sheets on the left side of the screen, and they can be opened in new windows as an internet tab.

Smartsheet is a fantastic tool for managing work, making it easy to track projects and stay organized. The many features can be overwhelming for new users but despite these small challenges, Smartsheet’s powerful features and ease of use make it a great choice for handling both simple and complex tasks.
I find Smartsheet really helpful for managing my work. It’s like a smart spreadsheet where I can track projects and tasks, and it’s great for working with my team and sharing files. I also like that it connects with other apps I use, like Google and Dropbox, so I don’t have to jump between different tools.
It might cost more than simpler tools, but it’s great for bigger projects. If your internet is slow, it might run a bit slow too, but it works better with a faster connection.

Coming from primarily using Google docs to do my project management and file sharing, I found Smartsheet to be extremely helpful and made it easier to manage multiple projects and tasks at once. The templates were excellent and all levels of my team were able to engage in tracking/input. I also really like that it connects with DropBox to share large files.
The fact that the price was only one dollar different in price points between the individual and team (up to 50 people) subscription.

This has been an incredible experience. The Smartsheet support team is highly responsive, they help troubleshoot, they've assisted in envisioning ways to make projects come to life through the program. Best customer service I've ever experienced.
I like that Excel users can transfer over relatively easily to Smartsheets. From there, almost anything you ever wished about Excel but could not accomplish, along with front-facing customization is possible.
I wish I could upload files to Smartsheet Dashboards without having to use Onedrive or Dropbox, as these are not HIPPA or FERPA compliant products. Also wish there was a mail merge option inside of Smartsheets instead of through Google Docs for the same reason. Maintaining data in one place (Smartsheets) is a high value to our department.

SmartSheet is our "digital swiss army knife". We have automated a large valume of maual paper-based processes, used it to manage big projecst, and quickly collect information from our distributed network. The ability to manage our licensed users to deliver solutions, and the unlimited view/edit access for both internal and external users empower collaboration with a distributed team.
The only downside is having to establishing best practices to manage or limit abuse or mis-use of SmartSheet, and managing an information lifecycle management approach for a large number of workspaces and sheets.

The client service team has always been attentive and willing to spend an extra few minutes answering questions to improve our experience.
Ability to quickly and easily start a new project and share with others through WYSIWYG tool The provided template help me create a 3-D data thought I have in my head that I'm trying to create on paper - they provide a terrific starting ground and often mean I don't need to start from scratch to have a sophisticated tracking platform
There are some functions I need it to do and after researching have found they are not options. Often these are the same thoughts other have brought up in chats. At this moment I can't think of a specific example. I often drop it, or find a work around.

My organization uses a ton of Web Forms. It's a great way to collect brewery data into a usable format, and instantly code it using Conditional Formatting. We've moved several important processes away from paper logs. We continue to develop new ways to commit logging type processes to Smartsheet. It's a far superior format when compared to Excel files sitting in some employees hard drive.
A few more Excel features would make it truly great. The smartphone app requires some adaptation. Works, but the lack of screen real estate can be somewhat challenging.

We implemented Smartsheet in my company several years ago as a project management tool. We needed something that could integrate with other software like Google, O365, and Dropbox and Smartsheet came with a lot of integrations. We use Smartsheet for everything from data tracking processes to full-scale executive project dashboards. Its ability to be a solution for small needs and large needs alike has made it a go-to program for us.
Its similarity to Excel makes it very easy to use but also very flexible as well.
I can't think of anything. I'm always disappointed when I have to use another software on a project because nothing else compares.

Smartsheet is one of the best applications for project management we tried so far. Easy to use, lots of templates to choose from and with overlays to help along. Gantt charts are available but also custom reports using the report builder. Lets you import previous spreadsheets and update them. The spreadsheets can be shared with collaborators which can have different permission levels like read, write, or both. It has integration with Google drive, Dropbox and even Zapier.
The collaborators can add comments but there is no real-time chat option. There is no auto-save either on the web version or mobile app. It involves some learning time so I think is best to get the free trial first before buying.

smartsheet is ideal at the time of a project for the organization of the work team. where you can plan the project by specifying its deadlines, tasks and documents. perfect for project management. smartsheet creates a calendar view with the administration of the project to be developed. It has a very comfortable and easy-to-use interface where we specify the tasks to perform similarly to an Excel spreadsheet. The tasks can be sorted by date and priority of delivery according to the person to whom it is addressed. Smartsheet allows us to integrate files in the delivery with its wide range of tools. as dropbox, Amazon web services ... This application is compatible with any device that we can use from our computer to our smartphone
Smartsheet is a good application but sometimes it is difficult to use it although it has several tutorials on the web to know how to use it correctly. I think this app should be developed in more languages
