Customers love the quick processing. Easily accept payments while anywhere. Now that chip-cards are accepted, no issues.
Took a bit for chip-card readers to be available and inmplemented. That was an issue. Now all is well.

I use Square for street vending on the weekends and it works wonders for me, my customers are so excited that i can accept a card on the street corner!
Easy to use plug and play model No fuss over a chip card unlike other software I have used! Less fees than other comparable software
The software is great, I did find the layout of the transactions to be a bit comfusing at first but have spent enough time now with the software to learn how it works now!

Great experience overall, perfect for just about any small business.
Simple, easy to use, and affordable credit card processing! Cheaper than any alternative, and we can take almost any form of payment now.
If you don't use the card reader for the transaction, the fee is higher, but that is to be expected. Just use the free card reader, or upgrade to a nicer one.

Keeping track of sales per day is so much easier ! The system makes it easy to interpret.
After initial intro it was easy to use.

There is no easier way than to start accepting credit cards at your small business than with square. It's really easy to setup and it's free to startup.
The app used on devices can crash every now and then, but it's not difficult to start it back up.

I have used Square for some time now and I have not found a better payment processing platform. It is easy to use and the transactions are a breeze.
The cost for processing is a little bit higher than I'd like but it is very competitive with the market for POS programs.

Excellent overall experience!
I've been using Square for my small business for 2+ years now and have had really good success with this software! I use it daily and am very happy with it.

If you have a brick and morter shop this is a great solution as it is pay as you go rather than having to deal with a high upfront cost.
Loved the fact that it was low cost and pay as you go.
Did not like the fact at the time when we used this that it did not integrate with website. Now square provides that feature.

Square has been a great partner for taking our business to the next level being able to taking credit cards easily. Now with covid and working remote I started invoicing clients which has transformed the way we use the software. Now I send emails and people pay with a link, amazing!
Square is easy to use and you get money fast. Lots of options for taking payments. Good desktop dashboard for all your transactions and any open items. Mobile app too.
I can't say I've had any major issues other than needing to reboot or download an update here or there. Pretty quick and easy to set everything and everyone up.

Square has served it's purpose and opened a new way for transaction processing. Luckily there are now many other options.

Used for fundraiser sales for our scout troop. We love being able to use it for Cookie Sale, ticket sales, and other product sales.
Works very well for product sales for nonprofit fundraising. Setting up my products with pictures makes it easy to create purchases.
I have used the software for a few years now and have not had any issues. I highly suggest Square to every scout leader that I meet.

Square enables me to be able to sell remote without having to add pricey equipment.
We have used Square in our retail location for over 2 years now. We also utilize the system for mobile sales. We love being able to use one system for both. Square doesn't require extensive training and is self explanatory.
I would love to be able to text our customers to broadcast announcements, sales, etc. This is currently not an option which requires us to have additional third party software.

My mother in law makes cakes and sells them on her own. There was no store register to use and she had to make the cakes and take payment, which became overwhelming. She was taking cash because she had no way to take card, which was difficult because everyone uses cards now. So when she enlisted our help, the first we did was buy a Square Reader. Now, we just hook it up to her phone, while she grabs the food, they swipe and they are on their way. This has made work easier on all of us!
Sometimes, very rarely, it takes an extra swipe. In the end, everything gets sorted and no double charges.

The app now allows for bitcoin transactions in a time where cryptocurrency is becoming a large presence, I enjoy the ability to very easily send and receive payments in a simple to use UI, it's a limited software but serves its purpose well.
It's limited in what it can do, they just recently explored the idea of bitcoin transactions and crypto trading, I hope they can expand its ability and usefulness throughout the online system

Much less expensive and easier to use than other services.
Square was very easy to sign up for and get established for our company. We are using the readers at our events and it is simple for employees to learn to use.
Had to get the readers off their site but they are readily available so it wasn't that big a deal. But now I need to send in my receipt for reimbursement which is inconvenient.

This is a friendly product to make shopping easier for our PTO parents. At school events, they now have the option of using a card instead of cash or check. The particularly like the emails we receive from square detailing purchase totals, deposits, etc. This helps our records.
You have to have this installed in every device you intend to use the square with. It doesn't take long, but does require you to download and have internet. I wish there was a way to make the transactions by swiping and then upload those / push through when internet became available again... like a holding room in case interuptions in internet service.

We started using Square just for events then migrated to using it for all of our credit card transactions and now we use it for our entire point of sale.
The overall ease of use is great. But the real winner for our organization was that the merchant fees were so much more reasonable than our prior merchant. The ability to track inventory is also very helpful, and has simplified my life.
The void system being only for restaurant usage is a bit frustrating. The reporting system could also use more options for customization.

This system works great for pop-ups and retail stores. You can also track what you sell and square sends you emails when you are low on products. We will continue to use Square
How simple it is to set up. You know exactly how much you are being charged. There is no hidden extra add ons. Square updated the os, so now if your customer wants to return 1 item and they purchased two, you just pull up the item and hit return.
Just make sure you do all the updates for square and os system for any pad you are using. We use an Ipad and it works great! Not much to not like.

Square is great because it is universally recognized and people are comfortable using it to pay now. Overall the setup has been generally easy and straightforward. I'd definitely recommend it to any small business friends.
Super easy to use. Every kind of report that you can want is available.
I wish that the fee was a bit lower. The switch to a blue tooth card reader has been interesting. 1/10 times that I try and connect it takes extra time which is a pain if the customer is there waiting.

Square has made us more money. We do not have to spend time waiting to be paid anymore. 10/10 recommend.
We love the ease of use for both us and the client. We used to have to wait for payment via check and sometimes we'd have to follow up with clients for months without getting paid. Now when our technicians are wrapped up in the field.. they have the client pay instantly using their mobile phones with card reader. No more waiting for payments!
Square is a great software and clients trust it. There is nothing that is negative about Square. Love it.

I am a freelance graphic artist. I use this software to make it easy to put value in my art. I now have the easiest way to my a living on my work anywhere I am or will be. Overall wonderful experience.
The most favorable feature in using square is its simplicity. In less than 10 minutes I was all set up with full understanding of how the software worked. It was quick and clean and practically effortless. When I was all finished I couldn’t believe it I said “ wow, really? That’s it? I’m done?” Great interface with extremely user-friendly and modern design.
I honestly have no complaints. I have yet to run into any bugs or performance issues. Which, when there’s money involved is hard to come across and a very crucial detail. I had to speak with an operator one time and that was a fault entirely of my own and was user-friendly and convenient. He was helpful and the issue was rectified within minutes. Sorry but really can’t say a bad thing yet.

We opted only the software service and they couldn't provide good technical support even for the one thing we subscribed. The customer service is never available when needed. Had to contact them back and forth to even cancel the subscription. This software is suitable for restaurant and food retail only. Not suitable for a clothing store.
There are no pros that is worth mentioning.
They don't have enough features for a Retail store inventory management. The customer service is very bad.

Software layout for the terminal is not terrible. This may work okay for some small retail businesses that do not have high volume and are running everything inside of ePOS Now with no integrations.
I normally don't go out of my way to write a review, but if I can spare one person from buying this, I feel it is worth the time. We were promised a lot of things for integration with Quickbooks Online. We soon found out that the integration was not as robust as they claimed. The monthly subscription to ePOS Now, itself, is not terribly expensive, but you soon learn that you need an add on connector program for everything. Then they want to add an additional $69/month for support. The next issue is getting out. Expect to pay a steep early termination fee. We tried hard to make this work and finally decided that we were better off to just pay the fees and bail. We are still fighting that battle and still getting monthly charges.

My overall experience is below 0 with this company, they cannot solve anything and puts even more challenges in front of their customers.
I made the decision to purchase this software because it looked user-friendly and the support team sounded great. It was also in top 10 for retail software in UK.
Since, the beginning I had many technical problems and problems with the support team. Once accidentally, they've deleted all my sales and product data during trading! After a while, I lost connection with the support team, waiting for a day or 2 for them to get back to me, screen freezes in front of the customers in the store and there's nobody to reach, the system doesn't sync, no solution there....

We are extremely happy with our purchase overall. The solution is leagues beyond our previous POS software and the cost to switched worked out to be less that the cost to upgrade.
It is a very intuitive software. The step by step guide in the back end made the set up easy and tech support was very quick to respond and address any issues that arose. The look and feel of the system is also very modern both from the front till to the back end reporting. Another plus was that the software and hardware came as a package deal and it was the most cost effective option for our organization.
Setting up invoicing for customers on account is not particularly user friendly, but part of the problem is that we have a unique set up in that we sell services as well as retail products.

This product was originally designed for retail and they are trying to branch out into hospitality. They have a bunch of updates planned for release in July that are geared towards fine dining. The software just doesn't work for a quick serve.
The hardware is good if you upgrade the ram. The Customer service "team" is friendly and supportive. It isn't their fault that the software is clunky and hard to use.
The software is not user friendly. They do not support the hardware after 30 days. If something breaks , too bad. There are no aftermarket parts available in the US so the best they will do is sell you a new system for a discount. That was 900.00 for a new POS which I didn't like anyway. They also sent me a used cash drawer with a credit card slip signed from Shades of America in King of Prussia, PA. That is sloppy . Not very concerned about compliance. It must have been from one of their other retail accounts.
