Pros

With that said, the integration is amazing. I love the ease of deployment.
I like the direct integration with JAMF pro. The system is very great to allow me insight in to the individual users.
Jamf Protect is great for both home and business and it becomes even better when you use Jamf Protect to set up a virtual private network (VPN).

Pros

Malwarebytes is seamless to integrate, extremely affordable, and protects our systems better than more expensive options.
It is very easy to use and there is a wealth of information on the internet to help with any new threats. This is my top recommendation for any essential software on computers and tablets.
Malwarebytes offered a stable, reliable and affordable solution for us while we used it. We ultimately moved away from it to Sophos.

Cons

Often times they will update the threats themselves.
There have been a few features that have been missing for a long time. For example, renaming a device using user info during deployment.
Problems navigating some menus. Sometimes it seems to be problematic.

Cons

The critical issue for me is if the do the job without being annoying. Some of them seem to bring up warning windows so often that I get tired of them.
When at a user's computer, we are unable to view logs while at that computer and instead have to go login to the UI at the IT desk to view those logs which is inconvenient.
Lack of a feature to inspect emails and there is no option for a quick scan.

Pros

Jamf Protect is great for both home and business and it becomes even better when you use Jamf Protect to set up a virtual private network (VPN). I use VPNs daily to connect to my work computer so I can access my files securely. It is also a great product for home use.

Cons

It works fine overall, but it needs to be a bit faster, maybe better if it gets less processing power in the future.

Team has reached out, and I haven't had any Malware or Viruses on the Macs, so that's important.

Pros

Deployable with ARD or JAMF Pro. They made it a way easier alternative to other brands and the support has been great. They have contacted me, for feedback/improvements/ideas.

Cons

Still learning....hoping for more free web trainings/videos like I had for JAMF Pro inception and deployment.

Pros

I think the setup process to get Jamf Protect implemented is a big pro. Being able to work with a dedicated team to get everything implemented really avoided any stress that could have been caused by a bad setup.

Cons

I do not have any complaints with the Jamf Protect software as of now. I think that there could be more in the sense of Training for the product since Jamf only offers two training classes currently for the product.

Jamf Protect

Comprehensive endpoint security suite for macOS

Reviewed 4 years ago
Pros

Designed exclusively, for macOS which can be easily seen in its architecture and implementation for any macOS Admin. It is feature rich and is one of the few solutions to leverage the new Endpoint Security framework to prevent (at process level) threats from even launching. Lightweight and by far the lowest impact of other solutions tested and used. Support is excellent and product is updated several time a month with new features and improvements based on feedback.

Cons

More documentation, examples and better marketing and comparison against other solutions would be useful. With its newer approach for security, large range of features and design exclusively for macOS and Endpoint Security framework, traditional security professionals often miss and don't see the benefits of Protect from a preventative (vs. reactive) approach.

Still Learning

Reviewed 3 years ago

From purchasing, to deployment, and jamf support, our experience has been great!

Pros

Like by review title says, I am still learning. There is so much to comprehend in Pro let alone, another integrated product. With that said, the integration is amazing. I love the ease of deployment.

Cons

I would love more help on the "clean up" side for when viruses/malware are found. Protect has already caught some issues, some of which are easy to handle and others I'm at a complete loss and just wipe the device. The pricing for education could use some love. We are paying a premium, which I understand; however, I will be honest that competitors (Mosyle) are tempting for education customers such as ourselves. We love jamf to the core though, so the swap cannot be justified currently.

Jamf Protect, why would you not?

Reviewed 3 years ago
Pros

For a long time macOS security operations at an enterprise level was unheard of when it came to user friendly GUI and accurate reporting. Jamf Protect now makes this easy. We're now able to get a full spectrum of compliances on our macOS devices in one console, giving us the ability to be proactive in remediation when it comes to threat protection. We're given real-time alerts and insights that we were usually left in the dark with in the past.

Cons

I honestly don't think there are any cons to this product. It does exactly what we want it to do and even rivals our current Threat Protection solution for Windows. The other products could definitely take some queues from Jamf Protect.

Great experience so far using to protect user computers

Pros

Malware Bytes is one of the best free anti malware tools and does its job well. It's really use to use and is easy to install onto compromised machines as well. It's really the perfect choice for a free anti virus software.

Cons

The tool ui is getting a bit more cluttered and harder to use than the original version a few years ago. I'd say this is the main downside of the software as it is including some extra features that aren't really necessary.

Pretty reputable malware prevention/removal software

Reviewed 5 years ago

It helps protect my computers for a low cost.

Pros

I've used both the free version and the paid edition. The free one is solid in terms of removing many spyware and malware problems at no cost. The interface is relatively easy to use, though it does take longer to scan with the free service. The paid version is excellent and fairly inexpensive, if you can afford to pay for malware protection. They offer free trials too and no credit card is required for the trial. The paid version is perfect for small businesses that rely heavily on computers.

Cons

The free edition takes too long to scan and does not always seem to catch spyware nor does it offer real-time protection (that's only available to paying customers).

Malwarebytes one of the best Anti-Virus Softwares

Reviewed 5 years ago

I have been using Malwarebytes to protect both my personal and work PCs.

Pros

The thing that set Malwarebytes aside form any other anti-virus software is how cheap it is for the quality that it provides. And after buying license you can use the software for up to 10 other devices. The program works on any platform including Windows, Mac, iOS and Andriod , so both your computers and devices will stay virus free. Malwarebytes quickly scans your computer for threats and immediately quarantines so that no files are being corrupted. The software also checks for online threats and blocks all the websites that potentially can contain a virus.

Cons

I have been using Malwarebytes for about a year and so far there are no major cons that I have found.

A seamless Antivirus software that does a great job albeit missing some threats

Reviewed 2 years ago

We use Malwarebytes to protect computer systems that are essential for research workflows. This software does a great job working in the background without using significant memory. I highly recommend it to protect computers from threats.

Pros

-Seamless integration into Windows OS. -Works in the background without using much of the hard drive memory. -Does a superb job catching threats.

Cons

The software did miss one threat which was an attempt to control the computer remotely after a phishing attempt. This happened three years ago, however we have not seen such a miss lately. Hopefully this means that the software has actually improved with software updates.

The detection rates are great. And it is really REALLY lightweight. You wont even know its running in the background. And unlike other anti malwares this will also find any PUPs (potentially unwanted programs) on your system that got in because you click Install to quickly without noticing all the bundled bad stuff that came with some free software you used. Its such a good all in one utility that I replaced all my other PC protection with just this.

Cons

Nothing specific really. Although I would have liked better integration to protect myself in my email client.

Great Security Software

Reviewed 6 years ago

We use Malwarebytes on all of our computers and phones to protect them from viruses.

Pros

This software is great because it has been very effective in protecting our devices from viruses and malware. It gives us peace of mind that our devices will not be infected and require replacement or costly repairs.

Cons

I have had no complaints with this software so far. It has worked flawlessly and it has kept us protected.

Malwarebytes

Reviewed 4 years ago

Overall, I love how I can set the scan to happen every day and how it catches the bad sites and viruses before doing any damage to my computer. So far it has been very helpful to us.

Pros

When we got our new office computers Malwarebytes was recommended by our back office to use for our security. We had never used them before, but it has been a great experience so far. The computers have been running smoothly and Malwarebytes seems to catch all the bad sites before anything can happen.

Cons

It is pretty costly for a small business, but that is the price to protect our client's information.

Not a Save Your PC From Everything Solution

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

Malwarebytes is good for stopping ransomware. It runs in the background and doesn’t require updates very often.

Cons

Doesn’t protect your pc against all other viruses. Slows browsers down and causes other programs to not respond.

Good anti-virus for Mac

Reviewed 5 years ago
Pros

I like that this software is good for Mac users. Does what it's supposed to by keeping my computer protected. Runs in the background and doesn't seem to slow my computer a whole lot which is a bonus.

Cons

Not really a standalone solution to protect my PC. Also need to run Antivirus software to feel really protected.

The security knowing there is an engine working to protect your PC from Malware
