My experience with Audacity has always been more than satisfactory. I use it for work and personal reasons.
The ease of use with this audio editor is incredible.
It could be a little more up to date but other than that it is a solid software.

Although the user interface can be overwhelming at times, there are plenty of online resources to help you out when stuck. Once you have the basics under your belt, Audacity is a very handy tool to have in your arsenal. A great open source product.
Audacity is perfect for simple edits and audio clean ups. I use it for recording podcasts and tutorials and would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple audio editor
Sometimes the user interface leaves a lot to be desired. It can feel clunky at times and counter intuitive.

Audacity is a great place to start if you're interested in podcasting or recording music. Audacity is still the go-to pick for quick-and-filthy audio processing, despite being a strong, free, open-source audio editor that's been around for years.
1. Audacity is a great place to start if you're new to audio editing. It's helpful for learning the basic elements and operations of audio editing while also completing the assignments flawlessly. 2. The learning curve for Audacity is also rather short. 3. Another feature I appreciate is that it's little in comparison to more complicated software, so it can be installed quickly and easily on any machine without consuming too much space.
1. Audacity is not a professional tool and cannot be used in place of a full-fledged Digital Audio Workstation. 2. Audacity offers just the most basic capabilities for dealing with sound, and it does not facilitate the implementation of third-party plug-ins, but it is perfectly adequate for quick sound editing and recording a demo track. 3. The interface is the only drawback. It appears to be out of date.

Audacity is an easy-to-use, flexible audio editor and recorder for Windows and other operating systems. Whether I need to make edits to my home movies, remove background noise from old recordings, remix my favorite songs, or just record a simple voice memo, Audacity has got me covered. This fast and easy-to-use audio editor is my preferred for my sound editing needs.
Along with its extensive features, Audacity is easy to learn and use. If you are looking for a quick and simple tool to edit audio files, Audacity will do the trick. With more than 150 effects and filters available, it's perfect for anyone interested in recording, mixing or mastering audio. From podcasts to music production, it has everything you need.
Doing some of the more complex things can be a little tricky. However, tons of instructional videos are available online as its a popular program.

Perfect for what I need it for. Quick, cross-platform audio tooling.
When you just need a quick, free, and easy DAW/Audio Editor to get up and running. Look no further than Audacity.
The interface leaves something to be desired aesthetically, but that is also fairly consistent with the freeware/open-source world.

I first tried Audacity way back in the early 00's and, while appreciating its feature set, never found it a compelling choice compared to Sound Forge or Wavelab. Mind you, it is totally free and will do the job for most amateur editors.
Audacity is extremely feature-rich for a free audio editor. This has made it immensely popular with beginners and podcasters looking for a free solution to get started. Audacity is a great place to start to learn audio editing.
Audacity suffers from one of the ugliest graphical user interfaces out there. Contrast is poor, the blue-on-grey aesthetic is exhausting, and the icons are straight out of a clipart site from 1998. Performance can be spotty on some Macs.

We used this software for more than a year. We used it for record small audios and podcasts. A great free software.
A good free software to record and edit audios. A multi track audio editor. Available for Windows, MacOS, and Linux too. Great for mixing audios. Very easy to use. Best free audio editing software that I have used.
No customer support. Since it's a free software nothing to dislike.

I edited many tracks with this tools and I also used it to record some music.Maybe it's a bit slow to fully master, but Audacity is surely a high quality program with many options to choose from. And don't forget that it's free to use, too.
Audacity has tons of featuers, including recording your audio files, generating sounds, tracks editor with many options to choose from and even the support for program extensions.
Audacity's GUI sometimes feels old, it does not have a darkmode (even if this is not a proble for many) and with all the things you can click on in the menus you often need some minutes to find the option you want.

I used Audacity from years back. It's always installed on ever computer I have, as it's the perfect tool when you need to dip in, edit some audio and export it to the plethora of available options. Sometimes, you just need a quick touchup, which is the best tool. It's also ideal for those just starting in the audio world, as it's a powerful tool to be celebrated by all.
Audacity is an incredible audio editor that is perfect for any musician. Whether you are just starting or have years of experience, Audacity has something to offer you. Some of its best features include: - The ability to edit and export multiple audio files at the same time - The ability to change the speed and pitch of audio files - The ability to add effects and filters to your audio files These are just a few of the great features that Audacity offers. It is an extremely versatile software that can be used for various purposes. Audacity is the perfect choice if you are looking for an audio editor that can do it all.
What is there not to love about it? It's free, open-source, cross-platform, and regardless of your audio experience, it will handle just about whatever you throw at it. What's there not to love?

I am very happy with my overall experience with audacity. The software is simple to use, as it has all the audio editor features that I need to perform edits to my voice recordings. In addition, the software is free.
What I like most about this software is that it is very easy to understand for beginners, and most of the features are intuitive. I have been using many features so far without reading the instruction guide. However, there is detailed instruction guide available online, which is linked through the software (Under the "help" drop-down menu, under "manual").
There is nothing that I can note to be particularly unfavorable about this software.

I sometimes have to use an audio editor for recording voiceovers for promotional videos I make for clients. Audacity is excellent for this type of simple task. However, it also offers many options and features that would make it ideal for jobs that require more finesse.
I love how easy this audio software is to use. I have used other audio editing software in the past and Audacity makes the process of recording and editing speech and music incredibly easy. If you have a relatively simple project and you just need a simple yet reliable audio editor, then Audacity will suit your needs, but also help you to accomplish much more when it comes to tasks that require a more sophisticated platform.
Unfortunately, the user interface is a little unimaginative and can look a little intimidating when you first begin using the software. However, when you're working, the grey UI means you will not easily become distracted and you'll definitely be able to focus on the task at hand.

I use Audacity as my go-to solution for all my audio editing needs. I primarily use it to mix projects, but it's also excellent at editing sounds and adding effects. It just keeps getting better!
I've been using Audacity for many years, and it is the best audio editor for mixing. It's easy to use and has a comprehensive set of features. I can't think of anything negative to say about it!

I have been very pleased with the capabilities of this program. It suits our needs to a tee.
Audacity is an affordable, feature-packed, editor that allows you to easily record, change, and enhance audio files. I love being able to take old audio tapes and record them directly into Audacity. Once in the program, it is simply a couple of clicks to eliminate background hiss. Easily import midi files directly from the source. Exports files in a wide range of common formats.
I would like a little more control over equalization while editing songs. Filtering out extraneous noise would be much easier. For example, I was trying to edit a background track for our church choir. The original recording had two beeps at one spot on the track. There is no way, that I can find, to eliminate that.

Overall using Audacity is best experience for Audio files management and editing the audio files smoothly.
What I liked the most about Audacity software is it support all kind of import and exports of files like mp3, wav file which makes my life very easy to manage the audio files
What I liked the least about the Audacity software is while mixing the more than one audio I feel noise at joining points.

My company and I use this software for audio editing and it helps to make smooth audio.
It's noise cancelling feature is more powerful compared to other audio editing software. It's all feature is best.
If you take noise part when recording, then it's work, if you don't take noise part when recording than noise cancellation feature is useless for you.

Nothing but good experiences with Audacity. It does what I need it to do when it comes to audio splicing, audio recording, and audio volume normalization. I highly recommend to anyone looking to work with audio files where a single track or multiple tracks.
I have used Audacity since the early versions. Since the beginning the app was easy to use for audio splicing and audio recording.
It is not necessarily the prettiest app. The app is functional and reliable. I don't think the app has ever crashed.

It helped me a lot in audio recording, definitely helpful. But for audio editing I would prefer other software.
Its low resource consumption and performance on low end systems is excellent.
Dull interface and lack of some audio editing tools; automatic spectral audio cleaning is not good.

Excellent. Software does what it's supposed to minus the occasional crash and then I have to re-edit again.
Been using Audacity forever, mainly to edit audio files; amplifying audio files, censoring parts of audio files, fade in and fade out, adding sound effects. Audacity has been my go to audio recorder well. Audio is crystal clear (you can choose the sample rate/quality of the audio). It's free.
Not the most user friendly for newbies, has a little learning curve but nothing too steep.
