It seems every time I try to adopt a new feature I am met with bugs, or some 'try and buy' scheme that's not specified so they can easily get their hooks in me and force me to upgrade to their next tier.

The subcription tiers are a scam made to get your money and force you to upgrade to the top tier in order to actually use the keyword research software.
