LockDown Browser is an exam software that helps K-12 schools integrate with learning management systems including Blackboard Learn and Canvas to secure online examinations. Administrators can utilize the platform to display the testing environment in full screen and prevent students from minimizing the tab.
It lets managers forbid students to capture or share screens, copy/paste texts, visit other websites, and send messages or emails during the exam. LockDown Browser provides the ability to disable various functionalities including keyboard shortcuts, browser menu, function keys, and task switching to prevent cheating. The solution also enables professionals to use specific toolbar functions such as refresh, back, forward, and stop.
The system allows students to submit the assessment for grading before exiting the application. LockDown Browser also lets inspectors use webcam to ensure students’ identity and record videos, which can be reviewed post examination.
