We moved from Square Online to Wix where the first impact was a little of shock for us, as WIX interface is richer than square, but as soon as you play with it for a couple of days you start to take confidence and on overall we really enjoy using WIX.
The system has lots of featuring and you can tailored your website with many apps. We personally like the fact that we have full control on how the people see our website both from desktop and mobile, so that we can make adjustments if we need
The collections is the part where we feel they need some improvement, as we are not able to create sub or sub-sub collections, which is not very ideal for the type and variety of products we sell.

Overall, I had a nice-looking website up and running in no time. Adding an online store was truly simple and fast and it works! I connected with Square.
Wix is super easy to sign up for and to get a website up and running fast. The online store options are reasonable in cost and truly make a store setup a breeze. The drag and drop interface is overall easy to use as well.
I don't like how there are no revisions on pages. Once I make a mistake, there is no going back to "the way it was". Which can be frustrating.

Very simple to use for small business owners.
I used Wix to make a website for my parent's small business and it made the process extremely easy. You just drag and drop what you want and the UI was great.
I think Square Space's templates were more sleek and elegant.

I launched an online store with the Square plug in during the pandemic and quite frankly it saved my business. I have been quite frustrated at the lack of customization but for the time being it is functional and looks fine.
This software is user friendly. The drag and drop style UX makes it easy for anyone ( regardless of skill set) to design a functional site.
While it is very easy to create a functional page WIX simply doesn't have the options or features to stray from the templates. I think WIX could learn a lot from the team at Canva who make it seamless to stray from templates.

If you want a similar but better service, check out Square Space.
It's easy to setup an account and get a site up.
If you're going to pay for a content management system, I would not recommend Wix. When it comes to search engine optimization (how people find your website in search) it is not great.

I really like the WIX format. It was easy to use and there were good/sufficient template choices. Overall, it came down to Square product integration for me. I think free trials are the way to go to find what works well and has the right options and integrations needed for your business.
I found WIX fairly easy to use, as far as set up, value, etc, overall, but ended up ultimately choosing another product.
I really liked the WIX format. It came down to template choices for me and Square product integration.

We predominantly used Wix to spin up web templates for clients. It was always easy to train fellow co-workers on.
There's a lot of decisions that we have to make in life. If you work in marketing, it's how to spin up a quick landing page with little to no front-end designing skills. Enter Wix, the reliable web template builder. Sure, if you want to curse yourself out for hours straight you can buy a Wordpress template and configure it. If you have a couple of extra bucks in your pocket you can use Square Space and use one of their cookie-cutter templates. I like Wix because it gets the job done without breaking the bank, while giving serval options on spinning up a new website layout.
I've noticed the support isn't as robust as Square Space, but there's typically very little that I need support on.

It is very intuitive, friendly and with very professional and convenient tools for the companies that develop their website with this software and the final clients that receive the services through the platform developed with Wix
It is very incomplete and with few payment processors in their options. For example, you do not have the Square option.

I love the format and easy to use pre made templates they offer. There’s many to pick from but you can also create your own using your own logos. You can save your templates and publish in real time. Connecting other apps has never been easier for me! You do not need to be a coder to use this software.
Need to add more POS apps as some companies don’t use square which is Wix main POS that pairs well.

Lackluster website building, but definitely easy to use.
Wix is definitely easy to use and intuitive in its website building software. Very easy to build a lackluster website.
Websites do not look fresh clean or modern. Definitely appear to be made using a tool and not proffesionally unlike square space.

The software for our website works really well. We are happy with that side of the product. I run into trouble though with the reservation side. I find it is not very user friendly and often reservations get missed or confirmed twice. We did use the online food ordering system as well and stopped using that and switched to another system as it was just a mess for us. So I guess I would say if you just want to use WIX for your website than it is a good product. If you need the other aspects of the system I would look to other products.
We like the software to set up and run our website. It was fairly easy to get the website up and running and looks good.
We have not been happy with the online reservation or online ordering systems. The online ordering and reservation did not blend well with our other systems in place.

My overall experience is good. So far, way better than my previous one with Firespring and Wordpress
I am no expert in website, but I had dealt in the past at a low level with Firespring and Wordpress. The main difference is how flexible and user friendly WIX is.
So far, my main complain is the integration with square. I work in a theater and the transactions that come from the website are very difficult to categorize for the books. When I run monthly transactions in square there is no way to differentiate what transactions belong to what show or programming if the tickets were purchased though the website.

I've been using Wix for over 2 years now and I always get comments from clients on how easy it is to navigate. If my clients are happy, I'm happy!
You don't need any experience in building websites to get a great looking result. The multitude of add-ons and integrations is excellent, such as building an on-online store and integrating with your chosen payment system such as Square. The SEO functions really make it easy to work on getting your website to the top of search pages. The ability to switch between Desktop and Mobile website views also gives you a great design result across customer devices.
Using the templates as they come all look great, though if you want to go into customising in details to fit your business's look and feel (e.g. colour layouts and fonts) it is easy to get bogged down in taking time to ensure you've replicated your 'look' across all of your site's pages. Best to stay with the templates as is unless you have the time and patience.

Really good. Only didn't go with Wix as Square Space had a better layout for us. Even that wasn't perfect, so had the website developed by a business contact using Wordpress.
Easy to use. The included templates were good looking, as were the stock images that were available. Really wanted it to be 'the one'.
Wanted to include implement a subscription based/sign in required side to the site. Found that it couldn't be achieved entirely using Wix.

I love Square Space and WIX. I refer my clients to both services every day. I love that there is a free option. Usually, this is why most of my clients pick Wix.
I hate hate hate, hate! That you cannot change template without redoing almost everything. From someone who sells consulting services, this actually makes me more money since my less technical clients pay me everytime they want to change something

I use Wix for 5 different businesses. Most of the websites are fairly static, so, I complete and initial build out and then update when needed.
The websites that you can make with Wix are very nice. Over the past couple of years, they have added an increasing number of tools to make life easier when it comes to building and updating my websites.
Customer service is not readily available, which I understand given the price, but if there's something I can't figure out, I feel like I have no one to square it with.
