AccountsAndGo is an AI-native accounting platform for Australian businesses. Bookkeeping, invoicing, expense capture, payroll and compliance run in one system, with an AI accountant named Max doing the repetitive work under a level of autonomy the business sets.

The AI layer

Max runs on Google Vertex AI and handles transaction categorisation, account reconciliation, BAS worksheet preparation and financial report drafting. Three autonomy modes govern how far Max goes without asking: cautious, balanced and autonomous. Actions are recorded, so the trail of what was automated is auditable rather than implied.

Bookkeeping and banking

Bank feed connections import transactions and keep them in sync, with webhook-driven updates and a manual sync path. Transactions are categorised against your chart of accounts, and a CSV import path exists for institutions and prior systems that will not feed directly.

Documents and receipts

Optical character recognition turns receipts and bills into coded expenses. Invoices and quotes are raised, sent and tracked in the same product, with document generation built in.

Payroll and people

Employee records, payroll calculation and pay-event preparation, with reimbursements handled alongside expenses.

Compliance and reporting

Goods and services tax and business activity statement worksheets are assembled from actual transaction data, with a lodgement register and compliance date tracking. Reporting covers profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow, with AI-written narrative on higher plans, plus forensic transaction monitoring and industry benchmarking.

Australian data sources

Business number lookup against the Australian Business Register populates business details. Reserve Bank cash rate and exchange rate feeds, and Australian Bureau of Statistics industry benchmarks, are pulled in so figures can be compared against something real.

Integrations and interfaces

Xero and Myob connect over OAuth with auth, status, import and disconnect endpoints. Bank feeds connect, sync and receive webhooks. A Model Context Protocol server endpoint lets Claude or ChatGPT query the books in plain English, and the platform shares single sign-on with the rest of the MyAndGo products.

Security and data residency

Hosted in Google Cloud's australia-southeast1 region in Sydney. Access is scoped per business, files are virus-scanned on upload, and audit logging records what changed and who changed it.
