Atlas Red is a browser-based mind mapping application built around import, AI and interoperability rather than around a subscription.

Import and AI: build a map from a PDF, Word document, photo or scan of a whiteboard, audio or video recording (mp3, m4a, wav, webm, mp4), podcast, YouTube link or pasted text. AI rebuilds the source as a structured map in which every topic is a real, editable node, not a flattened image. Imports run as background jobs, so you can close the tab and return to a finished map. Failed jobs are never charged. Existing maps open from XMind, FreeMind/Freeplane, OPML, Markdown, plain text, JSON, YAML and XMindMark.

MCP and AI assistants: Atlas Red exposes 26 tools over the Model Context Protocol and is listed in the ChatGPT app directory. Mention @Atlas Red in ChatGPT, or connect Claude, Cursor or any other MCP client, and create, edit, restructure, import, export and undo maps by describing what you want. The MCP connection is included on every plan and is not metered.

Export: Markdown, OPML, XMindMark, JSON, plain text, PNG, JPEG, SVG, PDF, an interactive standalone web page, an OpenDeck slide bundle, and print (map only or map plus outline). Export is never gated by plan or limit.

Editor: balanced and radial layouts, one-click restructure, categories with colour coding, share by link, undo history.
