Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

AudLit overview
What is AudLit?
AudLit is a browser-based production platform that takes a narrator from a raw read to a finished, specification-compliant audio file, covering recording, automatic cleanup, and mastering with no software to install and no audio engineering experience required. It runs in Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Arc on Mac and Windows, and all audio processing happens client-side in the browser.
Getting started: import a manuscript in DOCX, PDF, EPUB, FB2, RTF, HTML, or TXT. AudLit detects chapters automatically and builds a teleprompter that scrolls at your reading pace, with a voice-following mode that tracks your speech in real time so the text keeps up with you.
Recording and cleanup: as you narrate, AudLit captures every take. When you flub a line you simply pause or press a key to mark a retake and re-read. By matching each reading against the manuscript, AudLit automatically assembles your best version and stitches the clean takes together, with no waveform editing required. When it misses something, a full-screen visual editor and a punch-in re-record tool let you fix a single sentence and splice it back in precisely.
Mastering and compliance: one click masters the audio to your chosen output specification, including ACX audiobook, ATSC A/85 and EBU R128 broadcast, corporate and eLearning, internet and social, or a custom target. AudLit measures loudness and true peak to the ITU-R BS.1770 standard and confirms the file passes compliance before you export, replacing the need for a separate mastering engineer. Export to WAV or 192 kbps MP3, ready to upload to ACX, Findaway, or any distributor that accepts standard audio files.
Auditions: AudLit includes a full audition workflow. Record and slate an audition, master it to spec, and track every submission on a pipeline board from recording through submitted, won, or declined, with win-rate analytics. Convert a won audition into a full book project in one click.
Collaboration: invite an author or editor to review a chapter and leave text or voice feedback, with no software to install and no account for them to create. Their notes flow straight back into the narrator's re-record queue.
Security and privacy: AudLit is human-first by design. Your recordings and finished files are saved to a folder on your own device through the browser File System Access API, not stored on our servers. Audio sent for transcription is deleted immediately after processing, and third-party transcripts are deleted right after the result is extracted. AudLit never uses your recordings to train any AI model and never creates a synthetic or cloned copy of your voice. Account data is protected with row-level security and time-limited signed URLs.
