Bidwin-AI overview

What is Bidwin-AI?

It is late. The tender closes on Friday. And the organisation bidding is the right one for this contract, with the track record to prove it.

None of that is what gets scored. What gets scored is whether the proof can be found, in the time available, and set out in the shape the evaluator's matrix asks for. That is a different skill from doing the work, and it is a skill that can be bought. A bid team of twelve, or a specialist at several thousand pounds a tender, and the field tilts before anyone has written a word.

Bidwin Core exists to close that gap for a bid professional working alone.

It is not a SaaS platform and not a general-purpose chatbot. It is a drafting method, written down by a working bid manager and installed as a plugin inside the writer's own Claude account. The tender pack, the evidence library and every draft stay in folders on the writer's own computer. Bidwin-AI never holds that material and cannot read it.

The method belongs to Mark Cosens, FRSA, MA, FIEP, a specialist UK bid and tender professional whose clients have won over 150 million pounds in public, charitable and private sector contracts. Not AI theory, but the discipline of a career: how to read a pack, where the amendments hide, how to make a claim an evaluator can bank, and when to admit something cannot be evidenced rather than reach for a sentence that was never true.

How it runs

Bidwin Core is pointed at a single project folder holding the tender pack, the evidence library and, where they exist, past winning bids. It reads every document in the pack, including long PDFs, awkward DOCX layouts, multi-sheet XLSX scoring annexes and scanned files, and returns a Response Drafter Plan as a Word document: every scored question, its weighting, its word limit, its published evaluation criteria, and the evidence already held against it. Drafting then runs section by section, in the organisation's own house style, derived from bids it has already won.

What it refuses to do

Bidwin Core drafts only from supplied evidence. Where the evidence base cannot support a claim, it flags the gap and asks, rather than filling the space with something plausible. Every factual claim traces to a named support file or a clause in the tender. Before submission, a separate review agent that has never seen the drafting history checks the draft against the requirements and returns a redline, and a language pass strips Americanisms and the patterns that read as machine-written. British English throughout, to the same standard as the bid.

What it looks like in practice

Blue Apple Training used Bidwin Core on a Leeds City Council tender for the Key Worker Support element of the Employment West Yorkshire programme. Seven scored method statements, a thousand words each, and 48 hours in which to write them. Set-up took minutes. The first draft took three hours. The directors read it properly, commented within a day and signed the bid off, and it was submitted. The award letter arrived three weeks later. That is one documented win rather than a success rate, and the bid was run by a bid manager with seventeen years in the sector.

Finding the work as well as winning it

Bidwin Watch, the companion opportunity finder, scans Find a Tender and Contracts Finder, scores every live notice against the same evidence base, and reports what is genuinely worth bidding for, on demand or on a weekly schedule. Watch finds the tender. Core wins it.

Licensing is a single payment for one bid professional. The plugin is permanent, twelve months of updates and support are included, and nothing auto-renews. A current Claude subscription, billed separately by Anthropic, is required to run it.

Bidwin Core is not trying to make bidding easy. Something real is being decided, and it should not be easy. It is trying to make it fair.
