What is Captain Crews?
Captain Crews is a web-based management platform for marine businesses that run boats and staff: boat management companies, marine workshops, and charter or rental fleets.
Functions: one record per boat with engines and engine hours, service thresholds and alerts, documents with expiry dates, a safety equipment register, supplier invoices and fuel; a Deadlines screen for the whole fleet; a fleet calendar that flags overlapping bookings before you confirm; workshop jobs with checklists, time-stamped photos, recurring job templates and PDF job sheets; staff time tracking on the phone with the GPS position, overtime per pay period, leave, monthly statements for staff paid by the job and pay summaries for the accountant; fuel per boat and for the whole fleet, with Excel export; an owner portal where each owner sees only their own boats.
AI: supplier invoices are read automatically and bulk-uploaded documents are sorted by AI; a person always confirms.
Specs: runs in any web browser and installs on the phone from the browser; English and French; hosted in London, United Kingdom; full data export as a ZIP archive.
Integrations: a read-only API (Company plan) lets other tools, such as a Microsoft 365 calendar, read your bookings.
Security: role-based permissions for the office, technicians, crews and owners; two-factor authentication for administrator and owner accounts; an audit log.
