What is CaseScan?
CaseScan is an AI Vision platform that detects harmful and fraudulent visual content, covering two connected product lines: CSAM (child sexual abuse material) detection and deepfake or synthetic identity detection.
For CSAM detection, content is ingested via API or SDK and passed through three detection layers: perceptual hash matching for previously cataloged material, AI models that analyze unhashed content directly to catch novel or unseen abuse material, and generative-AI-specific models to catch AI-generated and synthetic CSAM. Detection covers both images and video, runs in two configurable modes (Maximum Precision and Balanced), and returns per-image results in under a second at P95. Output includes risk scores and structured, audit-ready evidence files, with flagged content routing into your review workflow and NCMEC reporting. CaseScan runs on a Zero Media Retention architecture: content is analyzed but not retained on CaseScan's infrastructure afterward, and detection is built to support compliance with US NCMEC reporting rules, the UK's Online Safety requirements, and evolving EU ePrivacy rules.
For identity verification, CaseScan detects synthetic faces, face swaps, animated identity photos, and manipulated identity documents, including IDs, passports, and physical checks, in real time. Submissions are classified across a six-tier risk scale, from Certain Fake to Certain Real, so teams can automate clear-cut decisions and route ambiguous cases to review.
CaseScan is an IWF (Internet Watch Foundation) member and is in production with platforms including Wix and DoubleVerify. On the law enforcement side, CaseScan supports ICAC task forces and digital forensic examiners. Support is available by phone, 24/7 live chat, and online.
