What is ContractReview?
ContractReview is an AI-powered contract analysis platform designed for users who need to review contracts but don't have access to in-house legal counsel. The tool accepts PDF, DOCX, and TXT files and provides three core capabilities: automatic detection of risky contract clauses including auto-renewal traps, one-sided indemnification, overbroad IP assignment, hidden liability caps, and vague termination language; section-by-section risk scoring on a 0-100 scale with color-coded visual indicators; and generation of track-changes DOCX files with suggested revisions ready to send back to counterparties.
Built on Next.js 14 and powered by DeepSeek's AI models for legal reasoning, ContractReview processes all documents with TLS 1.3 encryption in transit. Contracts are analyzed in memory and deleted after processing —no contract content is stored on disk. The platform supports three document formats: PDF, DOCX, and TXT.
Pricing includes a free tier with three analyses per month (no credit card required), a Pro plan at $9.99/month or $79/year with 30 reviews per month and DOCX export, and an Ultimate plan
at $19.99/month or $159/year with unlimited reviews, bulk upload up to five contracts at once, priority processing, and CSV export. One-time credit packs are also available starting at
$4.99 for five reviews with a six-month validity period.
ContractReview was built by a solo developer who personally experienced the consequences of signing a contract with a hidden non-compete clause. The tool is designed to be accessible to anyone signing business contracts without legal support. All customer support is handled directly by the founder.
