Cordant overview

What is Cordant?

Cordant functions as a command center for modern financial infrastructure, sitting above existing processors, banks, ledgers, compliance systems, and payment rails without replacing them or moving funds. It ingests signals from connected systems, normalizes fragmented transaction data into a consistent shared event model, and delivers a single unified view of every payment's movement across all systems it crossed. Operations, compliance, risk, treasury, and audit teams gain one operational truth across all systems, teams, and agents running financial operations. Deployment options include the customer's own virtual private cloud (VPC) or a vendor-hosted platform, with a strict read-only access model: Cordant observes, detects, and explains, but never moves money. No customer data is used for training, and no customer's data influences another customer's behavior.

Cordant covers balance reconciliation, reserve monitoring, settlement reconciliation, fee and interchange validation, missed-payment detection, partner oversight, SLA tracking, commissions and residuals tracking, compliance monitoring, and exam evidence generation. Every payment is reconstructed across the systems it crossed and checked against governing policies and agreements — continuously and in full, not by sample. Control gaps and contradictions are detected in real time. Fee collection is validated against contractual terms. Audit-grade records are produced showing how a transaction moved, who acted, and what controls were applied, with evidence ready before a regulator or partner requests it. New checks and policies can be added without creating new integrations, and no data centralization or system replacement is required.

Cordant is designed for payments companies, fintechs, and banks operating across fragmented financial infrastructure, with specific applicability across financial services, banking, embedded finance, cross-border transactions, stablecoins and digital assets, and healthcare payments compliance. It also provides a governed context and control layer for AI agents, grounding them in verified ground truth — what actually happened across systems — and binding agents to policy, evidence, and accountability so AI operates within a controlled, regulated environment rather than on siloed or unverified data.
