Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

CtrlOps overview
What is CtrlOps?
CtrlOps is a local first desktop application for Linux server management that integrates AI assisted terminal operations, real time infrastructure monitoring and deployment automation in a unified DevOps environment. The software is designed for developers, DevOps engineers, IT service providers and technical teams managing multiple Linux servers across cloud and virtual private server infrastructures. The application operates entirely on the local device and does not require installation of agents or use of intermediary cloud services.
The core functionality is an AI assisted terminal that translates plain language queries into precise bash commands subject to human approval. Queries may be submitted in conversational form and the system generates detailed commands that must be reviewed and confirmed before execution on live infrastructure. This approval gate reduces the risk of unintended actions in production environments and lowers the expertise threshold for command line operations.
Multi server management provides a consolidated view of all connections managed via SSH with support for custom aliases, tagging and access auditing. A graphical file manager enables direct file operations over SSH, including uploads, downloads, extraction of compressed archives and in-place editing of configuration files. Real time monitoring displays live metrics for CPU, memory, disk and network usage without requiring software installation on remote hosts. A deployment module automates application rollout from Git repositories by configuring process management, web server proxies and security certificate provisioning. Additional features include a script directory for frequently used command sequences, automated backup scheduling and centralized user permission revocation across multiple servers.
The application is implemented as a standalone desktop client for macOS, Windows and Linux using Tauri and Rust to deliver native performance with minimal resource consumption. All connection credentials and configuration data are stored locally with encryption and are never transmitted to external services. Communication with remote servers relies on standard SSH protocols without requiring cloud provider API credentials or vendor lock-in. No telemetry data is collected and no cloud bridge is established between the client and infrastructure.
