Redacting a regulated document by hand is slow, and pattern search is risky: it finds text shaped like a Social Security number or a date, then misses the patient's daughter named in a sentence, an employer, a device serial number or the barcode on a label. DocArmor is AI document redaction built to close that gap.

How it works

Upload a PDF, pick a template and DocArmor reads every page the way a trained reviewer would, including scanned, faxed and handwritten pages. It finds names, addresses, account and record numbers and other identifiers in context, spots faces, ID cards, signatures and stamps, and decodes 1D and 2D barcodes, including QR codes.

A person stays in charge

Every finding goes into a checklist grouped by type and linked to its place on the page. Reviewers untick false positives, add anything missed by clicking text or drawing a zone, preview the result and apply only when they're satisfied.

Redaction you can trust

Redacted content is removed, not covered with a black box, and DocArmor checks every page to confirm it's gone. Metadata, attachments and form values are stripped too.

Templates for regulated work

Start from HIPAA Safe Harbor, Financial Identifiers (PCI / GLBA), Legal & Court Filings (FRCP 5.2), FOIA & Public Records Exemptions, Educational Records (FERPA) or Blind Hiring & Bias Reduction, or write your own instructions in plain English and save them as shared, versioned team templates. Each document keeps a record of which template ran, who reviewed it and what they changed.

Privacy by default

Your file and its outputs are removed from storage when you finish or sign out. DocArmor is a US company and all processing stays in US regions. Enterprise adds a REST API, batch ingestion, SAML SSO, a signed HIPAA BAA and dedicated or self-hosted deployment.
