ETB Developer (Energy Toolbase) overview

What is ETB Developer (Energy Toolbase)?

ETB Developer is a cloud-based solar and energy storage modeling platform designed for project developers, installers, engineers, analysts, and sales teams working across commercial and industrial (C&I), community-scale, and utility-scale markets. The platform consolidates the full sales and project development workflow into a single web-based environment, covering utility rate analysis, system sizing, financial scenario modeling, proposal generation, and lead management, all accessible from any internet-connected device with no on-premises installation required.

At the core of the platform is an in-house utility rates team maintaining a database of 120,000+ verified utility rates, supporting Time-of-Use (TOU) modeling, Net Metering structures (NEM 2.0, NEM 3.0, VNEM, NEMA, and others), and demand charge reduction analysis via battery storage dispatch. An energy storage simulation engine uses a digital twin of EMS dispatch algorithms to model battery dispatch and predict operational performance, generating site and photovoltaic forecasts on the fly. The optimization engine simultaneously models complex import charges, export charges, demand response programs, and grid services co-optimization including Demand Side Grid Support, covering standalone storage, solar-plus-storage, and front-of-meter project configurations. ETB Sheets brings Excel-style formula logic to transaction and incentive editors, while financial scenario modeling handles payment options, system cost forecasting, and incentive calculations. Solar design integration via Solesca adds pre-CAD layouts and NREL SAM energy simulations, and real-time indicative financing quotes from integrated lending partners are available within the workflow.

On the commercial side, ETB Developer provides a white-labeled, fully customizable proposal builder with configurable templates, proposal engagement tracking (open/click notifications and time-on-section analytics), and lead management with contact history and deal timelines. Integrations with tier-one hardware providers including Tesla, Socomec, and Sungrow, along with financing platform connections, reduce manual handoffs across the project pipeline. A Pre-Proposal Service supports utility bill reconstruction and validation for complex accounts. Training, webinars, and a dedicated account manager are included, supporting organizations ranging from individual users to multi-seat sales teams.
