Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

EventPipe overview
What is EventPipe?
EventPipe gives event housing teams one platform to manage hotel room blocks across every stage of an event. Sports housing companies, event producers, meeting planners, and CVBs use it to handle RFPs, contracts, inventory, booking sites, reconciliation, and invoicing, so they can take on more events while cutting manual work and protecting the revenue they earn.
The company launched in 2021. Co-founder and CTO Mike Adessa comes from youth sports, where he saw firsthand that no software was built to manage hotel room blocks for large events.
With Room Block Management, users find hotels near a venue, send RFPs, and manage contracted room blocks. They can launch custom booking sites where attendees pick rooms, reserve, and pay. Support staff can pull up any reservation by confirmation number. Before the event, users send each hotel its final rooming list. After the event, pickup reports and reconciliation show what was booked versus who actually stayed, and built-in invoicing helps users collect the commissions and rebates hotels owe.
Teams Management supports stay-to-play tournaments by tracking which teams have booked and whether they meet event requirements. It helps housing companies address blockflation, EventPipe's term for teams over-reserving rooms and inflating a block while actual pickup falls short.
PipeSights gives leadership a view of business performance, pacing, and event activity across the full portfolio.
EventPipe also connects to live hotel inventory. Organizers can keep capturing reservations after a block sells out or its cutoff passes, with no new hotel contract required. The same capability powers standalone booking sites for events without a contracted block.
