Our commitment
Independent research methodology
Our researchers use a mix of verified reviews, independent research, and objective methodologies to bring you selection and ranking information you can trust. While we may earn a referral fee when you visit a provider through our links or speak to an advisor, this has no influence on our research or methodology.
Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.
How GetApp ensures transparency
GetApp lists all providers across its website—not just those that pay us—so that users can make informed purchase decisions. GetApp is free for users. Software providers pay us for sponsored profiles to receive web traffic and sales opportunities. Sponsored profiles include a link-out icon that takes users to the provider’s website.

GisboAlarm overview
What is GisboAlarm?
GisboAlarm is a software-based alerting platform for triggering and receiving silent alarms, emergency notifications, and crisis communications across PC, smartphone, telephone, and radio channels. Available as an on-premises installation within the customer's own network or as a GDPR-compliant cloud deployment hosted in a TUV-, ISO 27001-, and ISO 9001-certified data center in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, GisboAlarm requires no external database and carries a minimal infrastructure footprint of 200 MB. Clients run on Windows, macOS, IGEL OS, Citrix, VMware, and Windows Terminal Server environments, with Android and iOS mobile apps available. Developed in 2010 with the justice authority of Rhineland-Palatinate and in production since 2012, GisboAlarm protects over 500,000 people across more than 1,000 customers in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.
GisboAlarm covers scenarios ranging from silent personal distress calls to full mass evacuation alerts, and is available in two versions: Professional, for building-level alerting, and Communication, which adds a centralized crisis management console and mass notification to thousands of devices simultaneously. Alarms can be triggered via keyboard shortcut, mouse click, USB button, radio transmitter, telephone short-dial, or Bluetooth button, and received on PCs (including lock screens and screensavers), smartphone apps, SMS, and automated voice calls. Configurable alarm levels include distress call, threat, fire, medical emergency, evacuation, bomb threat, and amok scenarios, each with chainable escalation stages. Automatic location identification by building, floor, and room is displayed immediately to responders, with optional floor plan visualization. A passive alarm timer supports lone worker protection, and geofence-based profile switching is available in the mobile app. Integration with fire alarm panels, ELA systems, sirens, and strobe lights is supported via ESPA 4.4.4 or potential-free contacts through the GisboConnect 2.0 module.
GisboAlarm is suited to public authorities and enterprises of all sizes across public administration, justice, education, healthcare, social services, utilities, transport, banking, and industrial sectors. Its multi-tenant architecture allows multiple departments or sites to share a single server with separate configurations and per-tenant administrators. User and device provisioning is supported via Active Directory and CSV import, with MSI-based silent client deployment. All events are logged in a tamper-evident, revision-proof audit trail with web-based reporting for compliance and incident review. The platform meets accessibility standards per BITV 2.0 and DIN EN ISO 9241-171, complies with Aachener Modell threat levels and DIN VDE V 0827 (NGRS), and covers legal obligations under paragraph 10 of the German Occupational Health and Safety Act (ArbSchG) for first aid, fire response, and evacuation notification.
