IQ Books overview

What is IQ Books?

IQ Books is an AI-native UK ledger that keeps the books itself while you review and sign them off. Xero, QuickBooks and Sage sell you help with the bookkeeping, and you still do the bookkeeping. With IQ Books, RiQ does it.

Bank transactions arrive coded, and the ones it is sure of post themselves. Receipts and bills file themselves from a photo or an email. Invoices are charged, receipted and allocated for you, and the books are matched and reconciled to the statement for you. It learns each business's patterns. VAT returns and MTD Income Tax quarterly updates go to HMRC straight from it, and IQ Books is on HMRC's list of software for MTD for Income Tax.

The ledger is free for one business, with invoicing, bills, stock, projects, fixed assets and multi-currency included. Paid plans from £5 a month add monthly credits for the automation, plus emailing invoices and reminders from the app and CIS and Companies House filing.

Accountancy practices give every client their own IQ Books from one subscription, kept by RiQ for the practice to review, with PrepIQ year-end working papers built in. The books can also be run from a conversation with Claude, where every change is shown as a plan before it is made.
