Verified user reviews
GetApp maintains a proprietary database of millions of in-depth, verified user reviews across thousands of products in hundreds of software categories. Our data scientists apply advanced modeling techniques to identify key insights about products based on those reviews. We may also share aggregated ratings and select excerpts from those reviews throughout our site.
Our human moderators verify that reviewers are real people and that reviews are authentic. They use leading tech to analyze text quality and to detect plagiarism and generative AI.

Kitted overview
What is Kitted?
Kitted is a desktop production management software designed for small scale manufacturers and artisan producers requiring integrated control over inventory, production orders and purchasing. The application installs locally on Windows, Mac and Linux systems and retains all business data on the host machine. The solution targets small producers such as craft manufacturers, home bakers, electronics kit assemblers and workshop operators that have outgrown spreadsheet based inventory tracking. The licensing model provides perpetual use rights after a single acquisition while maintaining full production management functionality.
The stock management module tracks raw materials, components and finished goods across multiple storage locations with batch and lot tracking for food safety compliance and traceability. Low stock alert mechanisms monitor inventory against configurable minimum thresholds and display warnings on the dashboard interface. The bill of materials and recipe management component performs instantaneous availability checks to identify component shortages prior to production. Production orders progress through a five stage workflow from planned status to completion with automatic deduction of components upon run finalisation. The reorder workbench consolidates items that fall below minimum stock levels into a unified view and generates draft purchase orders grouped by supplier with pre populated quantities based on reorder parameters.
The supplier management directory retains historical pricing records while purchase order receipt functions assign stock to designated locations upon confirmation. Sales order features enable the creation of orders, recording of dispatch events and processing of returns, with automatic inventory adjustments during fulfilment. The stock take module offers a guided counting workflow that allows sequential submission of count lines followed by consolidated review and posting of adjustments while preserving a complete audit trail. The reporting suite includes nine built in reports covering stock valuation, movement history and bill of materials cost breakdown, all exportable to CSV for external analysis.
Kitted operates as a server application installed on a single machine with team members accessing the system via web browsers on the local network, eliminating the need for external cloud configuration. This architecture ensures that all business data remains on private hardware without transmission to third party servers, which addresses data sovereignty and compliance considerations. The software does not include native third party integrations or an external API and functions as a standalone production and inventory management system. A free trial period lasting thirty days is available without account creation or registration.
