MarkRelay is a self-hosted email platform that deploys directly to a user's own Cloudflare account via a one-click workflow, automatically provisioning Cloudflare Workers for compute, D1 SQLite for database storage, R2 for object storage, and Email Routing for inbound mail handling. All subscriber and mail data remains in the user's own Cloudflare infrastructure, with no data stored on third-party vendor servers. Licensing is fixed-cost: a single license covers unlimited mailboxes, domains, and teammates, with no per-seat, per-domain, or per-inbox fees.

The platform consolidates functionality that would otherwise require separate tools: a webmail client with compose, reply, forward, folder, search, and starred message support; a broadcast campaign engine supporting up to 10,000 recipients per send with a visual template editor, scheduling, RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe, and automatic suppression list management; a plain HTTP API described by an OpenAPI 3.1 document for sending, reading, replying to, and forwarding email programmatically; and signed HMAC-SHA256 inbound webhooks that fire on every incoming message. Per-mailbox access control scopes each user or API key to only the mailboxes they are explicitly granted.

MarkRelay is designed for small to mid-sized software teams, SaaS product builders, and developers managing multiple products or domains. It also targets teams building or operating AI agents: each agent can be assigned a dedicated mailbox and a scoped API key, and every deployment serves an installable Agent Skill compatible with Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, OpenClaw, and Hermes, alongside an OpenAPI 3.1 spec and an llms.txt to support agent-written integration code. Human teammates and AI agents can share the same mailboxes, with agents operating over the API and people reviewing mail in the webmail interface. No MCP server is required for agent integration.
